All three of the characters are flawed and as the story progresses experience problems, Maxi is not as happy as she would have everyone believe, Devon's success is built om smoke and mirrors and her marriage is failing and Deeley has no idea what she is doing and where she fits in.The two wrestle and tumble, roll an inclusive set of neighborhood kids around in a giant inner tube, and search for treasure in local dumpsters. However, Daniel is often the victim of Charise’s impulsiveness and power grabs, and she experiences a mix of guilt, envy, and frustration as a result of her actions. My favorite quote was when the eldest sister, Teresa said “it’s all so complicated isn’t it”? I burst out laughing! That is the perfect description of this book!🤣 It is an interesting memoir, but other than the tooth incident, and the resulting guilt, it just appears to be a series of fights and activities she did with her brother. The face blindness is brought up once, but never brought up again. The ability to read people is also brought up, but never explored.

I loved the premise and structure for Bad Sister, alternating timelines always appeal to me and multiple narrators that are done well are fun and Carrington nailed both aspects. This was an extremely fast paced and edge of your seat type of read from an author I’ll definitely be keeping my eye on. Ursula is the least likable of the siblings, in large part because she doesn't have much of a personality in the first few episodes. She dislikes John Paul, has three children, and is having an affair with her photography teacher. There may be some characters that audiences can excuse for cheating, but there isn't enough known about Ursula's family to say one way or the other. Bad Sister is written and constructed moderately well. Paired with Lucey's playful Sunday comics-style illustrations, the story takes a resonant dive into the insular world of children – especially siblings. However, some of the actions that the parents take are rather questionable – even in their day and time. Furthermore, her prosopagnosia is mentioned once and never again – as it was no big deal.The narrative seed is a deceptively simple one: three sisters who dragged themselves up from dirt poor nothings mostly by virtue of the eldest's uncompromising drive and skill are now living lives so far removed from their beginnings that it seems like that life belonged to other people. The eldest runs a huge business and is married to an upwardly moving politician, moving through the elite of London society. The middle child is a beautiful and curvy television cooking celebrity, happily married to a footballer who is a wall of muscled handsomeness, also living in London. The youngest is the oft-photographed and genuinely gorgeous girlfriend of a hot television star living in L.A. Ultimately, ‘Bad Sisters’ is not based on a true story. The series is a most faithful adaptation of the Flemish series ‘Clan.’ Nonetheless, creator Sharon Horgan brings her own worldview and style of dark humor to the story of five sisters. The themes of family and sisterhood make the story relatable for the viewers, while the murder plot keeps them hooked. Despite my usual love for Rebecca Chance's work, I did not like this book. I just couldn't get into it. Normally, I am hooked from the very first word of Chance's books but this I struggled to get into. But having known and love her work, I thought I'll get into it but that never happened. Straight away we are introduced to their childhood and the secret that determines how the sisters react to the world around them. I really liked the characters of Connie and Lindsay, and enjoyed watching the bond between them grow as the story progressed.This middle grade graphic memoir by Charise Mericle Harper, featuring illustrations by Rory Lucey, follows a young girl who undergoes a crisis of conscience, realizing that she is a “bad sister.”
