About this deal

Breeos are more durable and (subjectively) more stylish, but the flip side is that they’re cumbersome and slightly pricier. But why do we need this ring, after all? Basically, we can call it a cooking ring. Its design has three 90°-folded tabs on which you’ll put your camping pot, pan, or camping tea kettle. This way, you’ll leave some space beneath the cooking equipment for better heat and airflow. This ring has a cutout place for putting more fuel through it. As it turns out, Solo Stove fire pits are pretty expensive. Still, I decided it was time to spring for one. Solo Stove’s popularity grew steadily over the years, then experienced a considerable boom during COVID-19, as friends and families searched for ways to safely spend outdoor time together, even in chilly weather. We have been debating about getting a Solo Stove Bonfire instead of a fire pit. It was helpful that you listed the pros and cons of the Solo Stove Bonfire. It was so cool that the Solo Stove Bonfire worked in the water too. Thank you so much for sharing your awesome review! Reply

For Comparison: The tiny Solo Stove Lite weighs just 9 oz and the mid-size Tian weighs 16.5 ounces. Probably the closest gas-powered stove for comparison is the Coleman Portable Bottletop Camp Stove.

And how does the Campfire’s compare to the Solo Stove fire pits? The Solo Stove Campfire is roughly half the size of the Solo Stove Ranger (their smallest fire pit). Plus, the Campfire has an additional cooking ring to help direct the flames while holding a pot or skillet. It’s a portable, efficient, and durable camping stove that fires up fast for your evening fire. Plus, it’s well-designed and completely smokeless. It’s true that I did not follow the above advice the first time I used it, opting to tip the embers out onto the ground. However, this could be a risky move, and Solo Stove doesn’t recommend it. Cooks for at least four people: The Campfire works well with pots and pans up to about eight inches, including Solo Stove’s two pot set and Pot 4000 (more on that down below). Pots and pans of this size will allow you to cook for groups of four or more people. However, you might encounter a pesky burnt twig that’s hard to remove from the mesh. While this can be a bit annoying, overall, the cleanup process is simple and hassle-free.

It was really nice to not see ANY damage to the grass after our fire was done (not even a wilt!)This makes me feel way more confident about using Solo Bonfire during fire season when traditional fire pits could be dangerous. It can, but the company recommends giving it some space so that the design can still work. The vent holes need good airflow to keep the low smoke, pretty flame going! They recommend 2+ inches of space around the whole thing so it can get enough ventilation. via J. Lea Recommended accessories for the Solo Stove Bonfire Fire Pit If you use the link I listed above for the Bonfire fire pit, it will include a stand and carrying case which are must-haves. The stand is what gets the Solo Stove off the ground to prevent damage, and the carrying case is a convenient way to carry it (it can be hard ’cause it’s so round!) With this setup I brought 2 cups (470 ml) of water to a boil with an outdoor temperature of 74 deg F.I had small bubbles coming up in 5 minutes and a full boil at 7 minutes.During this time the flames died down twice and I added more twigs to build up the fire. You can probably get faster results if you feed the fire steadily. This stove is highly efficient and will boil water with a VERY small pile of broken twigs. I only used half of the amount I collected for the first photo.Free fuel indeed! It doesn’t take much fuel at all to cook, so it clearly has a more efficient burn than an open fire Key points to consider before purchasing The bottom of the stove remains fairly cool while burning. There were no marks on the wood I used to support the stove, and I’m comfortable using it on a wood picnic table (I don’t know if it’s cool enough to be safe on plastic) Great info here! I had never even heard of a solo stove before your post— you sold me on it. We live out in the country and bonfires are a summer staple— but this would be great for those nights when it’s just family but you still wanna smore LOL! Reply
