Adults' verdict: The exciting design wasn't enough to win over our adults, who found this Nerf gun lacking in range, power and accuracy. Be mindful of your surroundings – in the chaos of a Nerf vs X Shot battle, it's all too easy to lose sight of trip hazards and other dangers. It wasn't the most accurate, but the rapid-fire darts still had a solid grouping and adults found it delightfully easy to use. It doesn't have the furthest range, but adults were impressed with how accurately this toy managed to shoot despite its rapid-fire style. It’s exactly what you’d expect, and seems to hold up well to target practice, even with moderately modified blasters.

As well as testing them on those key specs, we armed a bunch of kids and adults with the toys and set them loose in the garden to see which they found the most fun to play with. Never miss a chance to strike with the 2 dart capacity twin barrels and additional 10 dart storage on top! Plus despite its low capacity and small size it packs a lot of firepower, which the kids enjoyed immensely. Use the twin barrel shot-gun style blaster and become a Dino destroyer, blasting Dinos from up to 27m / 90 feet away! It's not as accurate as the X Shot Dino Attack Claw Hunter but it fires further, so adults can still enjoy a slight competitive edge.Be mindful of what's around you during play, and take care to remove as many hazards as possible before you start. Just as importantly, these blasters are some of the best looking ones I’ve seen from Zuru, with high quality construction and flourishes. It can be tricky to pull the handle back to fire for smaller children, but those that can use it will have bags of fun.
