About this deal

Natural oils accentuate the natural colour tone and grain of wood (permanent wet look). A dry Osmo Microfibre Roller can be used, if necessary, to roll out brush marks within 30 min of application.

Osmo Liquid Wax Cleaner can be used for refreshing the floor surface as required. If a higher level of sheen is desired, and after cleaning and thorough drying, apply the Liquid Wax Cleaner thinly and polish when dry. Wood surface must be clean and dry (moisture content max. 20%). Polyx®-Oil is ready to use, please do no thin, stir well before use. The final surface quality is dependent on the wood's surface structure, we therefore always recommend to test the product on a small sample area before complete application.. approx. 8-10 hours (normal climatic conditions, 23°C/50%, rel. humidity). Lower temperatures and/or high humidity can increase the drying time.Ideal for all wooden floors, solid or plank wood, strip parquet, OSB or cork flooring. Highly recommended for wooden furniture. Also for slate and screed as well as terracotta and other natural (non-glazed) ceramic tiles. Please Note: Osmo Polyx Oil, as with any other clear wood oil will enhance the grain and character of the wood by giving it a damp like appearance. To test how the wood will look once the oil has been applied, slightly dampen the wood using a clean sponge or cloth. Never saturate wooden surfaces with water. Once dampened, the wood must be allowed to fully dry before applying the oil. For daily maintenance, cleaning with a dry duster, floor mop or vacuum cleaner will be sufficient. For commercial premises, an electric floor polisher can be used.

Please Note: Oiled or waxed surfaces should not be cleaned with a steam cleaner or steam mop as these will degrade or potentially strip the oiled finish. Renovation Cork flooring is highly porous and requires an especially thin application, as a result the drying time is increased (min. 24 hours per coat). Sand carefully before application starting with a coarse paper – final sanding for flooring P100-150, furniture P180-240. Remove dust etc. thoroughly from the surface before application (vacuum cleaner). Based on natural vegetable oils and waxes (sunflower-oil, soyabean-oil, thistle-oil, carnauba-wax, candelilla-wax), paraffine, siccatives (drying agents) and additives. Disaromatised white spirit (benzene-free). This product fulfils EU-Regulation (2004/42/EC) according to the VOC limit value of max. 500 g/l (Cat. A/e (2010). Clear oils can darken the appearance of the wood. To retain the light character of oak please use Osmo Polyx®-Oil 3044 Raw.Due to its expert technical knowledge of the technologies and materials available across the industry, Promain has a reputation for outstanding service among its trade and retail customers. Resistant against wine, beer, cola, coffee, tea, fruit juice, milk and water in accordance with DIN 68861-1A (German industrial norm). Apply first coat thinly and evenly along the wood grain with an Osmo Floor Brush - use in conjunction with the Osmo Telescopic Handle for ease of application

For optimal cleaning of floors treated with Osmo Polyx Oil, we recommend the Osmo Floor Maintenance Kit.Other household cleaning products such as vanish, bleach, baking soda etc. are likely to cause severe discolouration or staining. It seems there is a lot of confusion out there over the differences between all the Osmo products. I am asked all the time about how to choose which finish to use, and am constantly told the numbers just add to the confusion. And I totally get it. I felt the same way when first starting to use Osmo on my own projects. While I won’t be covering every single product Osmo makes, I can offer some guidance on the ones I do. I’ll try to make this as simple as possible. The ideal application tool is a firm, fine, natural bristled brush. For the best results, apply thinly and remove any excess oil from the surface of the wood with a clean, lint-free cloth. Apply thinly and evenly along the wood grain with either an Osmo Hand Brush, the Osmo 220mm Floor brush or the Osmo Microfibre Roller, and spread well. Allow for good ventilation whilst drying. Apply a second coat as before. For the renovation of oiled/waxed surfaces, generally only 1 coat is required. This should be applied to a clean and dry surface. Always shake the can well before use. Failure to mix the white colour (within Osmo Door-Oil 3033 Raw) and all ingredients could lead to an increased patchiness.

A. In short, 'No'. Oiled and waxed finishes on floors are 'Micro-porous' which means that although the wood is protected, it can still breath as it is not completely sealed as it would be with a varnish. A. Osmo 3032 used to be called 'satin-matt' but a number of years ago, they changed the name from 'satin-matt' to 'satin', the sheen level of the product however remains the same.
