My-Linh was soo sassy i loved how she spoke up for herself and didnt take crap from anyone and how she put Damien in his place. Like no one loves a doormat but as the book progressed i feel like she started to let her guard down and went to Damien when he wasnt well but she thought he was with another women so i didnt like the fact that she went because regardless of the truth from what she thought he was with another women ... why would you go to him I'm almost finished with this book and I have to say, it took me a bit to get into it because I was so annoyed by how cheesy the FMC character is. I wanted to push through bc I wanted to read a grumpy sunshine, but my goodness, some of her thoughts or one-liners were a little cringe-worthy. I do really like the emotional perspective - how the author pulled out and developed the MMC as he gets to know the FMC. With this and his booty calls, they used each other’s body to release heat. She agrees to go wherever and whenever he wants. But he made it clear that the one thing he does not want is monogamy. What happens between them goes on for months until it has to be stopped one day. I saw this book being recommended by a certain user on TikTok and I got interested with the FL and ML banters but when I started reading the book— uh... no. The Dragon Prince's Second Chance: A Paranormal Romance (Separated by Time Book 4) by Jasmine Wylder This book was good. I always love a grumpy x sunshine book, however I appreciated the fact that Damien wasn’t ALWAYS a grump. I felt this was a really realistic depiction of a CEO romance (despite him not be the actual CEO but was the main boss of the Australian location of his family’s company). Finally, a man that is not always cold and mean for 60% of the book until suddenly he starts to show small smiles to the FMC only, Damien was intimidating but also human. Yes he could be mean and ruthless but he also made mistakes and showed he had a heart. I think that was my favourite thing about this book. Daisy Allen is typical of a Romance Novelist. A shy, snooty, daydreaming-about-big-breasts-and-bigger-loins type who prefers to sit in the corner and stare out the window. She simply looks out the window to procrastinate from her work on heaving bosoms and engorged loins, isn’t quiet, dislikes mice, and is too short for any form of cloud reachage.Then, he finally declared how he felt for her all because of her near death experience. Which was cute, but sooooo cliche. That was a red flag. The queen of red flags. He took her deal without even asking for time to consider it. Like ask for time, talk to ML and then go from there. But Nooooooooo!!! God forbid he thinks of her and asks for her help in something that affects them both!!!!
