About this deal

Just one LEGO DC set is thought to be on the way in 2023 so far, in the form of a product tied to Warner Bros.’ long-mooted The Flash movie. First revealed through a listing at an online retailer, the latest Batmobile will reportedly arrive on shelves a month before its source material debuts in cinemas. Set name Shannon Flynn is a writer for How-To Geek. She has been writing about topics ranging from tech to travel for nearly a decade.

The LEGO Botanical Collection is part of the LEGO Sets for Adults range, which gives adults immersive building experiences that let their creativity bloom, as well as providing a building opportunity for plant lovers to create masterpieces they can proudly display in their home when finished. Before we find out what comes next after NINJAGO Crystalized, which wraps up the theme’s current storyline – running since 2019 –we’ve apparently got another wave of NINJAGO Core sets to come, comprised of dragons, mechs and motorbikes. Set name With The Super Mario Bros. Movie on the horizon, 2023 could well be the most exciting year yet for the LEGO Super Mario theme. Will the LEGO Group choose to embrace the film with Mario minifigures (finally!), or will it stay the course with its interactive sets? We’ll hopefully find out soon, but for now, we’ve at least got word that a new batch of sets will arrive in January. Set name Builders can create the 939-piece LEGO® Wildflower Bouquet and 812-piece LEGO® Dried Flower Centrepiece from the 1st February, just in time for Valentine’s Day, with the sets available to buy in-stores and online for 59.99 EUR/USD and 49.99 EUR/USD, respectively. DOTS will apparently be embracing the Wizarding World in 2023, with at least three sets dedicated to Harry Potter. Exactly what those models will consist of remains to be seen – could they be simple accessories, like bracelets or stitch-on patches, or will they be magical message boards? Set nameHey everyone, its a new month which means a new retirement update! As you can tell by the title, there are some big changes this month. At home we have a small round vase that inspired me to try to re-create it in LEGO, this is the result.

We want the two new sets we’re launching today to help people ‘grow closer’. Whether that’s buying the set for a loved one for an occasion such as Mother’s Day or Valentine’s Day, or at any other point in the year just as a little thank you. Why not give a longer-lasting LEGO plant and get to spend some valuable time building it together? We know the joy that plants can bring to people and our growing LEGO Botanical Collection has been created with that in mind. Plants are a great way to bring people together, and show our appreciation for one another,” said Jamie Berard, Senior Design Manager at the LEGO Group. Since changing her career path, she has written for clients in healthcare, retail, travel, law, and non-profit. She has a special interest in writing about tech products, including smart home devices, e-readers, Apple products, and Nintendo gaming. She also has a passion for trying out different apps and all things LEGO. The flower heads are fabricated using a 2x2 cone, a 3x3 dish, and six oval minifigure shields for petals. From the front it's not obvious how the petals are connected. Following a second consecutive in-house series in January, the Collectible Minifigures theme is rumoured to be celebrating the 100th anniversary of Disney with a third batch of characters focused on the House of Mouse. Set name A reportedly delayed flagship set (42146 Liebherr LR 13000), a new model inspired by Matt Reeves’ The Batman and a more affordable Bugatti headline the list of LEGO Technic sets currently rumoured for 2023, which run the gamut from €9.99 all the way up to €449.99. It’s shaping up to be an expensive year for Technic fans… Set nameEach stem has two leaves, which are rather awkwardly connected some distance from them, and have a tendency to rotate around it, because the dark grey 27940 BEAM, 1 MODULE W/ 2 CROSS AXLE, 180 DEG. have a pin hole in the centre rather than an axle hole. A better way of attaching leaves, closer to the stem and in a way that stops them rotating is needed: given the success and number of botanical sets being released maybe we'll see a new element produced to solve the problem one day.

To be safe, and since it'll be impossible to know for sure until its too late, I am going to mark this months list as for North America. We’ve only got word of one LEGO Monkie Kid set for 2023 so far – courtesy of a listing at LEGO.com – but it seems likely that more will follow, if only to continue serving the LEGO Group’s growing market in China. (It helps that the sets are generally all great, too.) Set name Next year’s LEGO Icons line-up is currently slated to include two new Botanical Collection sets and a new modular building. Par for the course for the moment, but bigger surprises are surely just around the corner. Set name LEGO Friends will reportedly launch its biggest set to date in January, in the form of 41732 City Center. Coming in at 2,010 pieces for €159.99, it’s rumoured to sail past even 41703 Main Street Building – but for the same price tag. Colour us intrigued. Set nameFeeling arty? How about LEGO arty? Or just… LEGO Art. The LEGO Group clearly hopes you’ll still be feeling its original theme of mosaics (and beyond) come 2023, as it’s apparently got at least one more set in the works. As 31207 Floral Art has shown us, mosaics are no longer limited to 48×48 grids, so this could genuinely be anything at this stage. Set name The first wave of LEGO Harry Potter sets in 2023 is said to consist of four house banners – each with a mini diorama inside, as per the six Hogwarts Moments books – and the first model based on the second Triwizard Tournament task since 2005’s 4762 Rescue from the Merpeople. Its latest Hogwarts addition, meanwhile, is thought to be based on Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Set name The LEGO Group’s Chinese New Year sets are now a regular feature in the annual calendar, and two more are thought to be joining the range in January. If so, they’ll replace 80108 Lunar New Year Traditions and 80109 Lunar New Year Ice Festival, both of which are retiring by the end of 2022. Set name There’s not a whole lot to go on with LEGO Disney in 2023 at the minute, mostly because these rumoured set names are pretty much par for the course for the theme. The Cars set will likely be a DUPLO model (judging by its product number), but beyond that it’s reasonably familiar territory here. Set name From the LEGO® Botanical Collection – Combine the daffodils with the Roses (40460), Tulips (40461) or Sunflowers (40524), each sold separately
