The shape of my window is different to your designs The eagle eyed amongst you may already have noticed that the more widely used float glass has a greenish blue tint; this is due to the higher levels of iron impurities it contains – this becomes more noticeable when compared alongside low iron glass. Low iron glass, as the name implies, is not affected by these high levels of iron-oxide so does not give off this discolouration and subsequently offers a more pure clarity.

In more detail– A decorative design, a repeating pattern or even numbers and words are designed on computer software for each individual job. Once the bespoke layout has been created, the design is then sent from the computer to a mask cutting machine. The design is then carved into a temporary mask which is then laid over the whole area of theglass.

Window film is applied internally on glass, so your design will be printed in reverse to be read correctly from the outside. If you have to apply the film externally, please let us know in the extra requirements field and we'll make sure your design is not printed in reverse.
