About this deal

SMARTIES is a yummy combination of crunchy shells and a chocolaty center, made in the best Cocoa farms. SMARTIES were originally named 'Chocolate Dragée' when we first started making them in Rowntree's in York around 1882 - before being renamed Chocolate Beans, then finally SMARTIES in 1937. The distinctive flavour also means that manufacturing them in high volume, on their own, is slightly more difficult to do given the different process and recipe required to get that orange-y taste.

question similar to those asked on the television game show Blockbusters (which coincidentally were on hexagonal tiles), the answer for which can be read when the lid is open, next to the hole giving access to the rest of the tube. The new lid still features a letter like the old plastic lids, but it is in the form of a "what [letter] is a [thing]? says the phrase and walks off, leaving the Rowntree text and the Smartie packaging on the screen for five seconds. Sugar, Cocoa butter, Skimmed Milk powder, cocoa mass, lactose and protein from whey (from milk), butterfat (from milk),rice starch, Emulsifier: Sunflower lecithin, fruit and vegetable concentrates (safflower, radish, black carrot, lemon, hibiscus), spirulina concentrate, orange extract, glazine agents (carnauba wax, bee wax), natural vanilla flavoring, invert sugar syrup. Each SMARTIES giant tube contains 6 portions [16 sweets] of your favourite orange SMARTIES ® treat that can be enjoyed or saved for later. It may not be reproduced in any way whatsoever without Wm Morrisons Supermarkets Limited prior consent, nor without due acknowledgement. Orange Smarties originally contained orange-flavoured chocolate, [12] however, these days the orange flavour is added to the shell only. In 2005 SMARTIES® became the first UK major confectionery brand to move to no artificial colours - more reasons to enjoy our SMARTIES® packs of chocolate treats. Orange SMARTIES are slightly more difficult to manufacture in high volume, given the different process and recipe required to get that orange-y taste but our experts have been hard at work to make it happen and we are really pleased that we can offer them again this spring.Important: young children (less than 4 years) have limited chewing ability and could choke on small sweets. Smarties in the UK were formerly sold in cylindrical cardboard tubes, capped with a colourful plastic lid usually having a letter of the alphabet on it. The orange ones are the only SMARTIES that have their own flavour and they have their very own cult following because of that.
