Litz wire is used in high Q inductors for radio transmitters and receivers operating at low frequencies, induction heating equipment and switching power supplies.

Therapies for PTSD can likewise fall short for morally injured patients, in Harwood-Gross’s experience. PTSD-focused approaches teach clients to adapt to traumatic triggers, such as fireworks that sound like gunshots, but this exposure approach doesn’t really help them resolve deep ethical conflicts. Effective moral injury counseling is “more about the processing,” Harwood-Gross says. “There has to be that movement: ‘How do I see it for what it is and, from there, develop something more meaningful?’ It’s a more spiritual approach.” Litz wire is very effective below 500kHz; it is rarely used above 2 MHz as it is much less effective there. [1] At frequencies above about 1MHz, the benefits become gradually offset by the effect of parasitic capacitance between the strands. [7] At microwave frequencies, the skin depth is much smaller than the diameter of the strands, and the current that is forced through the inner strands induces strong eddy currents in the outer strands, which negates the benefits of litz wire to the point where it performs much worse than solid wire of the same diameter. Liszt also worked until at least 1885 on a treatise for modern harmony. Pianist Arthur Friedheim, who also served as Liszt's personal secretary, remembered seeing it among Liszt's papers at Weimar. Liszt told Friedheim that the time was not yet ripe to publish the manuscript, titled Sketches for a Harmony of the Future. Unfortunately, this treatise has been lost. Another parameter that will impact the overall diameter is the type of insulation. The following section will be dedicated to the presentation of the different technologies, possible application, and advantages of each. A key parameter to quantify this perturbating current distribution over the surface of the conductor is the skin depth expressed below (figure 4). It is well admitted that the first choice for the conductor diameter must always remain below 2δ (dconductor < 2δ) not to see a noticeable increase in its resistance. For instance, an easy calculation at 7δ diameter leads to twice the DCR value (figure 5). A symphonic poem or tone poem is a piece of orchestral music in one movement in which some extramusical program provides a narrative or illustrative element. This program may come from a poem, a story or novel, a painting, or another source. The term was first applied by Liszt to his 13 one-movement orchestral works in this vein. They were not pure symphonic movements in the classical sense because they dealt with descriptive subjects taken from mythology, Romantic literature, recent history, or imaginative fantasy.
