About this deal

It's incredibly funny - I laughed when I read and had to quote bits and pieces to my family because I felt somebody else had to hear. The book opens with Anna recuperating at her parents' home in Ireland after suffering from a serious accident in which she has little recollection.

Occasionally, when Helen is very bored or scared, Mum even goes to work with her; the Case of the Missing Woman comes to mind. The trauma Anna endures is not solved by any pat formula - her place within the constellation of crazy family members, mad friends and Machiavellian colleagues rouses her from despair. She stood in the doorway of the sitting room, looked round at all the tassels and asked, ‘How can you stand it? There's one sister to go-will the next book be about Helen Walsh the unfeeling possibly sociopath P. She earned her law degree from Dublin University and then travelled to London where she worked in an administrative job in an accounts office. It is about Anna Walsh, a woman who is recovering from an injury whilst in her parents' residence in Dublin, Ireland, [2] and is reminiscing about the life she once lived in New York. With deep cuts and bandages on her face, fingers without nails, an arm cast and a limp, Anna has never looked less stylish (except when she wore all those hippie skirts).
