The compilation album coincided with the farewell concert of the same name on 28 June 1986, at Wembley Stadium. Meanwhile, in the United States, Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go, Careless Whisper and Everything She Wants were chart toppers: remarkably, all three were from the same album, Make It Big, which sold six million copies in America alone. This is a shame because it has only ever been issued on CD on a rather obscure Japanese CD single of Club Tropicana. The duo struck gold with a dozen odd hits between 1982 and 1986, including a handful of number ones, and a new box set will include all the singles from 'Young Guns (Go For It)' to 'The Edge Of Heaven'.

But the songs have stood the test of time – great pop songs – and that is what makes the difference.
