About this deal

A small mistake that adds up quickly comes with forgetting that not all face cards count the same against you. If you would like to change your settings or withdraw consent at any time, the link to do so is in our privacy policy accessible from our home page. You can come from behind even in the last round; hence the slogan, The game isn't over 'til the Kings go wild! Make sure you know these special uses of wild cards, and don’t miss out on a chance to stick your opponents with some high cards.

If you’re on the last hand and have a healthy lead on everyone, then you can pursue a strategy of keeping as low card values as possible. For example, after the second round, deal 4 cards, then 5 cards, and so on until each player is dealt 13 cards. Start your turn by drawing a card from the draw pile OR picking up the top card from the discard pile. The value of the cards on the table does not matter, only cards remaining unused in the hand are counted. If you’re getting down to the end or someone has gone out, don’t just throw any face card down to lower your count.

Five Crowns uses a specialized deck of card with 5 suits, and each hand players are dealt a varying number of cards: 3 for the first hand, 4 for the second hand, up to 13 for the 11th hand. Going Out: Start your turn as normal, then lay down your entire hand in books and/or runs on the table in front of you before discarding your last card.Deal: Shuffle all cards together and deal 11 piles: 3 cards in the first pile, 4 in the second, 5 in the third and so on until you have 13 cards in the eleventh pile.

Eventually, I hope to expand the site to include other people writing about their interets (but also concentrating on games, hobbies, and sports). If you have only one wild card or Joker in your hand after someone goes out and you can’t play it, you may wish to discard it. To be the player with the lowest score at the end of the 11th round by making your entire hand into books and/or runs. Play around with more combinations for books and runs for your hand, and watch out for the wild card that changes for each round. As someone with a lot of experience in rummy games, I picked up on Five Crowns pretty easily and won almost every time by following these tips.In the last hand of a seven player game, if all the remaining cards in the deck are used, the discard pile should be reshuffled and used to replenish the deck. Once someone goes down, all other players get one more turn to lower their hand count and they lay down their cards. g., each player has 3 cards to dealt to them for the first hand, so 3’s are wild; the 11th hand has 13 card dealt, so kings are wild).
