The sink basin in the same bathroom runs hot water as expected. I took some temperature readings as recommended by Bristan with the combi-boiler set to 60deg C. I then took a digital thermometer and have measured the sink to be 55 deg C (scalding to touch). Meanwhile the faulty shower temperature is at 32 deg C. We always suggest someone is home to accept the delivery, as missing your delivery may result in a re-delivery fee being charged. This shower is supplied with an adjustable riser kit and 3 mode rub-clean handset. The riser has a built in soap tray & integral hose retainer. The digital panel also displays warning letters when the pressure gets too low. This unit also offers phased shutdown, which pushes out any remaining water after you shut the unit off to prevent limescale buildup. Instantaneous electric shower drawing water direct from the mains supply; ideal for installations without stored hot water and second bathrooms.

A push on/off button and separate flow and temperature dials make it easy to use, while its smooth flat surface makes it nice and easy to clean. Not only that, but its universal footprint means that it will cover the space left by your old shower and has five water and electric inlet points (most showers only have two) making it easy to install. It's frustrating as Bristan have conducted an 'escalation meeting' on our case; attended by head engineers, designers and tech specialists but they have not come up with any useful solutions and have resorted to sending out a new unit. I have the same problem on my Prism thermostatic valve with diverter. Very hot water at all other taps in the house, yet warmish shower & bath.

Warm-up mode will show a light flashing until the water is warmed up to the desired temperature and ready to use The phased shut down feature ensures all hot water is flushed out of the shower after use prolonging the shower life. This ensures lime scale build up is kept to a minimum. Does the flow switch on the boiler on Dhw mode remain active when the shower is running? Don't know. Warm up mode; set your temperature and once reached the on/off button stops flashing; no more cold starts!

Replaced an old New Team shower with this unit - I'm not a plumber but it really couldn't have been easier . Took me 3 hours in all but 2 of that was faffing with existing unbending shower electric cable . Very pleased with end result , good shower ! There’s a lot to like about the Bristan Glee. It comes with nearly every feature you could ever want in a shower, from phased shutdown to temperature stabilisation, multiple power settings and a digital temperature display.
