About this deal

We found that Dark adds another reverb on top of the original, but an octave lower. Rise is a reverb that swells as it goes, while Dream has a latch function for activating infinite reverb at any point when you press the sustain switch. For Dark and Rise, we found that the sustain switch ramps up the decay setting to full, until we let go. Another change is the Effect Tail function. Users can hold the Bypass footswitch to turn on the effect tail when bypassed. The function helps to keep the ambiance going on when switching between effects. Also, the Evolution+ features a Buffer Bypass, while the Verb Square has a True Bypass option.

The pedal has a 7-way tone switch that lets you choose between 7 primary built-in tones, including room, hall, church, spring, plate, studio, and mod. The led indicator shows the working state while the true bypass button lets your guitar’s signal pass through the pedal without intervention feeding your amp with a direct, unaltered signal from your instrument. Valeton Coral Verb II is a highly versatile digital reverb pedal with 16 high-quality reverb effects ready for any music style. The effects can be adjusted with mix, decay, and tone knobs as usual. The shining feature of this pedal is its switchable reverb tail function which cuts the sound instantly or naturally leaves the decay when effects are switched off. Note 1: I will be replacing the Donner Chromatic Tuner with a PolyTune 3 for more immediate recognition of which string may be out of tune and higher tolerance. We love the inclusion of separate footswitches for the two effects. The inclusion of the I/O at the top of the pedal allows for vertical positioning, saving even more space on your board. The build is robust and looks great, plus there’s a switch to toggle between true bypass or buffered bypass (which activates Trails mode) as well. We really liked the addition of the Shimmer setting, which was missing from the original Hall of Fame. This effect is based on the Octave engine from the Sub ‘n’ Up pedal. Including the new effect, we counted a total of eight reverb effects: Room, Hall, Spring, Plate, Church, Shim (Shimmer), Mod (Modulation), and LoFi. The Studio mode produces a warm and natural reverb effect. It is a perfect mode for players who like to have a little spice on their tone. The question of which reverb pedal to buy ultimately comes down to taste and playing style. Some pedals have a more subtle reverb effect, which may be your best bet if you play mostly overdriven tones. For clean tones, reverb becomes a very significant factor. So if you play softer genres with ambient sounds, a good reverb pedal might become your best friend. The series also offers another excellent reverb pedal called Donner Verb Square Evolution+, and it has some minor differences from the standard Verb Square. The first nuance is that instead of the Studio mode, Evolution+ features the Darksea mode, which is a reverb mode with dark, gloomy decay. It sounds almost like a reverb with an octave pedal which is great to create some spacy sounds.

TC Electronic’s Hall of Fame 2has new features, adding to the excellent reverb algorithm of the original. We found that the algorithm was initially derived from the TC Electronic SYSTEM 6000, a flagship sound-engineering solution that includes multi-effects processing, audio effects, and plugins used by professionals. The Studio reverb effect sounds great with a low to moderate amount of overdrive as well as clean tones. This mode sounds very natural and smooth, so you can turn up the decay, level, and tone knobs freely. Mod Build Quality is very important for any pedal, as it will have to take the stresses of gigging and years to use. Even if the body is solid, sometimes the knobs are not good enough for extended use. On the other hand, if you only plan to use it at home, you can consider a pedal that’s less durable. ABY BOX 1 (line selector) [optional placement of EarthQuaker Swiss Things Pedal Board Reconciler (ABY/FX channel controller]With so many options, reverb types, and features, choosing a reverb pedal is very confusing if you don’t know what to look for. Here are the most important things to consider when buying a reverb pedal: Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary. Noise can be a turnoff in many cases. Good quality pedals will usually make very negligible noise. Noise can be eliminated in post-processing, but it is just easier for both production and live performances to have good-quality pedals with low-noise. This is especially true for high-gain setups.

Donner Reverb Pedal Time Effect with 7 Reverb Modes

As it does not replicate a real-world acoustic space, Plate reverb differs from other modes like hall, chamber, church, or room. It is one of the types of artificially created reverb effects. It is initially produced with a magnetic driver initiating sound vibrations on a large sheet of metal. It is often used at Abbey Road Studios in the 1960s; that is why you can hear it mainly in early Beatles and Pink Floyd songs. This set up can be pretty interesting, and is definitely a lot of fun! Though I have them all, I have spent significantly less on the Donner brand than any Boss, MXR, or other major brand to have all the effects available to recreate any voicing -- from a clean 50's vintage tube amp, to a heavily distorted or modulated brown sound -- I can dial it in through the Donner configuration, or choose a preset in the MOOER GE-100 and play along or improvise my own music. The device also has a specially designed buffer bypass circuit that keeps the sound pristine. It works with a standard 9V adapter which is not included in the price. The Donner Verb Square is a great-looking mini pedal with a whole aluminum solid and durable casing and a dark green color. The pedal looks pretty and elegant, along with its small size, which is perfect for crowded pedal sets. The Spring reverb is based on the renowned Fender Spring Reverb Tank and it is our favorite effect. In Spring mode, we found that double-tapping the footswitch creates the noise you would expect from a real spring reverb amp when you move it around, which gives a tad more authenticity to the effect. The whole aluminum solid green case, the three adjustment knobs along with 7 tone modes, and a True Bypass button are the similarities between the models. However, Evolution+ features a unique reverb effect mode called the Darksea mode instead of the Studio mode of the older Verb Square. Power is an important factor – whether you already have a power supply compatible with the pedal or you’ll need to buy one. Some reverb pedals can use batteries, but many don’t. The Church reverb imitates that you are playing in a big church with an excellent acoustic. The reverb of the Church mode is bigger and fuller compared to the Hall reverb, and sounds come from much deeper. The Donner Verb Square provides 7 different reverb effect modes that sound pretty great, especially when its price is taken into account. Of course, the sound quality depends heavily on the instrument, amp and other pedals/plug-ins used. Still, with a decent instrument and amp, I can genuinely say the pedal sounds more than satisfying with high sound quality. Room The Value knob controls everything else; the presets, specific parameters, and more. Another feature we found remarkable was the extensive I/O capability of the BigSky. There are a pair of stereo inputs and outputs for your guitar or any other instrument. We tried a synthesizer with this pedal, and it worked just as well. There is an expression pedal input, a switch for the cab filter, and MIDI input/output.

Semplificazione estrema.). Tom’sline Reverb Pedal is a classic digital reverb effect pedal with 3 built-in modes, an aluminum alloy body, and true bypass functions.
