If the suction power seems to be reduced and the product is not picking up it may be because the filters in the cleaner need to be cleaned. All filters should be thoroughly dry before putting them back into the product - this can take up to 24 hours. Now look down and inspect the lower end of the hose - the belt cover plate can also be removed and a coin dropped through this small hose section.

To keep your cleaner working efficiently with good suction powerand also to stop it overheating and cutting out we advise you to keep the filters clean.Re fit and place the securing catch back in place and lock it by turning the catch to the 'locked padlock' setting.

To maintain full suction power and your cleaner pick up effectively we recommend that you empty the dust container when it is 2/3 full. To keep your cleaner working effectively and producing the best possible suction it is important to regularly empty the dust container and keep the filters clean. If you find the suction power seems tohave dropped and it is not picking up very well then it may be time to clean these filters.There are two filters on your Freedom vacuum and these need to be cleaned on a regular basis to keep the product working efficiently. To keep the Globe working effectively its a good idea to replace the 2 filters and new ones can be purchased from our spares site. Take the container to your dustbin or a bin bag and press the release trigger to open the flap, shake the container to release all of the dirt. To open the box so that it can be emptied and to also clean the hepa filter twist the lid until the 2 arrows line up, then the lid will come off.

To do these checks turn the cleaner over and using a standard Phillips screwdriver remove the 7 screws that hold the brush cover in place. Dust the filter with a brush or for best results wash in warm water, making sure it is fully dry before popping back. The last thing to check is the exhaust filter, found at the back of the cleaner where the warm air escapes. There are 2 filters found in the dust box, twist the lid to open it and remove the hepa filter and foam pad found in the top. Although considering many people end up using only one or two most of the time anyway, maybe it isn’t such a silly idea.

The second one can be found by turning the cleaner over and unclipping the exhaust filter from its housing as shown.
