About this deal

As for the Chaos Lord on Karkadrak – it’s a fun little combat monster that has impressive offensive and defensive capabilities, a nice leader to have when you’re learning a new faction. As for the Grandfather’s greatest servants, the Greater Daemons of Nurgle are known lovingly as Great Unclean Ones. The old version of this with the Kabals stuff in felt a lot better than this one does. That said, you can at least get somewhere with this – all of Succubi, Wyches, and Venoms are good units you’ll want for a budding Drukhari army, and Reavers are OK I guess. What would have been really nice is if instead of replacing the old box, we got something like the Daemons of X boxes for Kabals, Covens, and Wych Cults, but alas. The Exalted Chariot is 220 points with the Bladebinger on top, 180 without, the Hellflayer is 180 with and 140 without, the Seeker Chariot is 160 with and 120 without. The Seeker Chariot is battleline in a Godseekers Host. Strongest Alone –Reroll all hits when no friendly units are within 6″. I wouldn’t advocate sending your general completely alone in most situations but your Keeper of Secrets certainly can. B-

For a time Invaders were a popular choice in the meta, though since then Syll’Esske’s Host and Godseekers gained some traction as well. They get to have 3 generals to represent their more anarchic nature and given how dependent you are on your Heroes, you will not be short of candidates. Allegiance Abilities Figureheads of the Dark Prince Contents: 1 x Plague Priest Plague Furnace (Hero) / Grey Seer on Screaming Bell (Hero), 1 x Plagueclaw / Warp Lightning Cannon (Artillery), and 20 x Plague Monks (Battleline in a pure Pestilens army) Essentially models in this unit can pile-in 6″ instead of 3″. This used to be reasonably popular for lists using lots of Seekers (of course) but again due to the combined price hikes for the best Heroes, corners need to be cut elsewhere. We use DHL for our main courier. The delivery guide for this is next working day to 2 working days. The longer period is for areas such as the Highlands and Islands of the UK. Savings-wise this is decent, but the contents are rubbish. You don’t ever really want Tactical Marines and Baal Predators don’t offer much either. This really suffers from including the Predator – it would be a much better box if it had say, Death Company instead. Feels like a relic of 3rd/4th edition.Hunter of Godbeasts –Add 1 to the damage inflicted against Monsters. I generally don’t like things targetting Monsters because you don’t know when its most useful but at least it can be paired with something else here. C+ Last of the Battletome’s factions. Godseekers are the ones hoping to find Slaanesh and liberate them, so they can return them to their throne. On the table, these guys move fast even by Slaanesh standards and can almost guarantee a first turn charge. Gaining Seeker Chariots as a battleline is actually a decent perk in a list that is built around them.

The other half of the original Age of Sigmar Starter Box. This is an amazing deal, with just the single flaw that the Retributors are only in a unit of 3 so you’ll pay the full price of 5 Retributors for those 3. Otherwise this a decent starting point for fans of the armoured warriors of Sigmar. If you fancy adding onto this force with some magical reinforcements, consider splitting a starter set with a Nighthaunt player for a suite of useful units to any Stormcast player. They don’t belongin the ‘real’ world, and it takes a huge amount of psykerenergy to keep them materialised in it. Daemon Princes are mortal (usually human or Space Marine) champions of Chaos who have been transformed into daemons and given immortality as a denizen of the warp. Most are granted daemonhood by a specific chosen deity in return for loyal service, but some are bound to serve chaos undivided (so no god in particular). At the start of your Hero phase, roll a die. If it is equal to or less than the number of units in this battalion on the field gain 1 CP. A nice little perk but the cost has since gone up, as has the cost of your best Heroes. Probably too expensive now. Epicurean Revellers In the AoS lore, Slaanesh is missing and their followers are fragmented. The invaders are the more anarchic remainders of Slaanesh’s followers. The fact that Slaanesh is missing doesn’t seem to be a good reason to stop having a good time so they are largely focused on invading realms and defiling the land before moving on for greener pastures (which they can also corrupt).

Flexibility in build options – Slaanesh has 3 different subfactions with radically different playstyles. You can adjust to whatever style you play. Any Hedonites of Slaanesh force is going to want at least one of these boxes, as when you first start out they can form a nice little core to your forces – but when you eventually develop out your forces to a full 2000 points you can phase some of these models out and use them as forces to bring on thanks to your summon mechanic – an essential buy in our opinion. We’ll begin with the youngest chaos god, Slaanesh, the prince of pleasure – createdin the death throes of theancient Eldar empire as it was torn apart by its own hedonistic addiction to ever greater heights of perversion. Hellshriek –Roll a die for each enemy unit within 6″. On a 5+ deal one mortal wound. Way too low damage to be worth it and requires you to get awfully close. D After years of collecting, buying and selling, building and painting, we realised that we had amassed a small library of Build Instructions, Assembly Instructions and User Guides for various Games Workshop products.Pretenders are the followers of Slaanesh who’ve decided that in the Prince’s absence, they will attempt to take their throne instead. As such its functions almost as a mirror to Invaders in playstyle. Instead of having multiple generals you get one superior one.

Spells are divided into 3 schools. One for any Wizard, one for Greater Daemons and one for Mortals (How nice of GW to think of them) Lore of Slaanesh (All Wizards) This is one of the original Start Collecting boxes and pre-dates the new Battletome. The new Battletome makes the Gore-Gruntas batteline in an Ironjawz army or a Big Waagh!, so you can now add in other Orruk units without losing the battleline status of this box, maybe combine it with the Savage Orruks one. A solid start for one of the sneaky best armies in AoS. However, Tzeentch’s most powerful, ascended daemonic servants adopt avian (birdlike) features like feathers, sharp beaks, and talons, the better to embody their god’s twin themes of hidden wisdom and cruelty. They are an essential staple of your army; you’ll need to decide how big the units need to be depending on which hero choices you bring to the table. Points cost of the Daemons of Slaanesh Start Collecting Box As a starting point for Slaanesh this box is definitely excessive. The main piece, the chariot, has 6 multiple assembly options, including combining the sprues from two Seeker Chariots to make a single Exalted Chariot. If that is not Slaaneshi…The mounted version is also a wizard, this time his death would bring only 8 depravity points and it costs 15 to summon the hero and 12 the simple unit. Sceptre of Domination –At the start of any Hero phase, if the bearer is within 12″ of an enemy Heroes, roll a die. On a 4+ they lose a command point and you gain one. Artefacts that generate CP are common but this goes one step further. Very nice. B At the start of your Hero Phase, if any of your units are wholly within enemy territory, gain D3 depravity points. If 3 or more units are, gain D6 instead. This is worth milking and given your excellent movement potential you can almost always keep at least one unit within enemy territory. 3 might be difficult but if you can do it, go for it.
