The original recipe was created by Charles Alderton, a pharmacist in a Texas Drug Store. He gave the formula to Wade Morrison, the owner of the store, who named it ‘Dr. Pepper’. As a matter of fact, the reasoning behind the name has been widely discussed for decades.
