The biggest difference on the IQC is that it does USB-C charging, hence the C. It doesn’t monitor dosages or have adjustable airflow, but it charges up a lot faster! The vapor chambers are identical on both, but the cap on the IQC’s chamber is made of silicon versus ceramic on the IQ2. The included mouthpieces are silicon, but the ceramic options are available separately. The magnets on the door of the IQC are a little stronger and feel more secure when you close it. Lid: Whereas the IQ2 has an aluminium lid, the IQC features a heat-resistant antimicrobial polymer lid. The USB C charging port does a decent job of charging up the battery to full. While we feel that the 2 hour charging time is just a wee bit longer than most vaporizers that utilize USB C, we feel that DaVinci designed it this way to help extend the health and lifespan of the battery. There are two details worth nothing here. One is that on the IQ2, I actually recommended that the pearl be left in its default position and not be screwed out since it interfered with the latch closure. But now, (and this is the second thing to note) on the IQC, all the latches have been improved to be more efficient. So the Zirconia pearl ( View in Store) may now be used to its fullest. Flavor Chamber Aside from the improved lid, the DaVinci IQC performs almost identically to the IQ2 which we consider a good thing. It manages to offer the same performance and battery life of the IQ2 but with a smaller compact frame and none of the weird fitment and sealing issues that plagued the older IQ2. Just like the IQ2, you are able to adjust the DaVinci IQC's “pearl” into just the right spot for even heating of your specific contents. Last but not least, both the IQC and IQ2 include water pipe adapters for vaping on bongs. The device charges via USB-C in two hours and runs comfortably for two hours. DaVinci IQC is also capable of reverse charging, which allows the IQC to double up as a power bank which lets you charge up your phone or other USB devices.

You can enable or disable Bluetooth on each device by pressing both the temperature buttons simultaneously 5 times within a 4-second window, and disabling Bluetooth will help preserve battery life in either vape. Both devices are compatible with the DaVinci Mobile App with the same functionality. Dosage, however, is limited to the IQ2. Overall, both devices are extremely similar in design, keeping to the style we expect from DaVinci, which doesn’t come as a surprise. The mouthpieces and the lid that covers the ‘flavor chamber' are now made of high-temperature silicone instead of zirconia. High-temperature silicone does a much better job of dampening heat even after successive sessions, ensuring that your IQC stays cool to the touch.

Introduction

It’s not often that we come across a device that’s an update on something that’s already proven to be so good, and yet have it be even cheaper than its predecessor. The IQC is the revamped IQ, staying true to the quality we're used to seeing from DaVinci, sans all the bells and spare features. DaVinci seem to be keeping to a theme with the updated model, as the IQC took half the time from a flat battery to fully charge, compared to the IQ2’s 4 hour charging time via USB micro.
