About this deal

Our review version is the bright Tuvalu Turquoise, but there are five others: Flamingo Pink, Magma Red, Orca White, Hammer Yellow or Mavericks Blue. For those of us who remember learning to ride a bike involving plenty of falls, scrapped knees and a few crashes into fences - things in the bike world have changed a lot since then. COLOURS – FLAMINGO PINK: a bundle of fabulous fun, this matte finish balance bike is perfect for when only pink will do! Hornit have recently launched a brand new range of balance bikes aimed towards the premium end of the market in terms of both design and functionality.

From adjustability, comfort, weight, and, of course, the height of your ride – all of which we’ve laid out in more detail later on. Straightforward to assemble out of the box, it’s clear this balance bike is designed to withstand plenty of adventures. taller than our 3-year-old tester previously shown, it quickly became clear that she was simply too big for the AIRO.thanks to its aluminium frame – which made it really easy for both our testers to get to grips with and move around on. At 21 months, this minimum seat height would have been a little tall for my petite rider and it would not have fit her well as she only had an 11. If your rascal rider learned on a toy/beginner bike and is ready to take their riding ability to the next level, the Hornit Airo is the perfect step up. Also, there does appear to be a mount on the rear stay and potential cable guides on the underside of the down tube, so perhaps a brake option will become available? With a sturdy frame, bouncy air-filled tyres, bell and angled footrest, this well-built bike will last for years.

Although steering limiters don’t help riders who are at higher speeds, they are great for beginners to help them keep the handlebars in the right direction. The Hornit AIRO has been a massive hit with our youngest sprog and has been an ideal bike to get him out on two wheels. Scoot around safely on the Micro Balance Bike 2in1 Chopper, a lightweight balance bike with clever features and a cool, retro design that parents and kids alike are sure to love. That means, you’ll have to have the correct hex wrench with you should you need to remove the wheel at any time. I would also love the ability to have her practice the handbrake before she gets to a pedal bike and using feet to stop are not an option. The AIRO balance bike comes in a range of five other really bright and vibrant colours as well as the white we tested - red, yellow, pink, blue and turquoise. Couple that with thoughtfully designed footrests and rounded edges, the Airo is sharp looking and friendly to little riders. BEAUTIFULLY SLEEK DESIGN: the grip taped footrests are contoured into the frame for easy freewheeling, air-filled rubber tires for a smoother ride and a padded stem for extra protection. Our two year-old test pilot fits nicely into that bracket with a 38cm inside leg, and found the bike easy to get on and off, use, and to pick up and manhandle (toddlerhandle? There is a nifty handle that makes it easier to carry the bike home if your mini cyclist tires mid-journey.

Smooth lines, cute vintage styling and long-lasting quality come together to create a bike that really impressed.

Just pop out of the box, follow the simple instructions to adjust the handle bars, tighten up the 3 bolts with the included hex key and you are good to go.
