Gotham has had a bit of a weird ride on UK screens. The first couple of seasons showed on Channel 5, then season three turned up on Netflix, before season four showed on E4. Sam is an entertainment writer with NCTJ accreditation and a twenty-year career as a film journalist. The Joker and Commissioner Gorden figures come with a couple of base options. They can be put on their larger 60mm, full-size scenery based with Gordon against the Bat-Signal and Joker on a stage, or on small 40mm bases with the scenery becoming stand-alone scenery for use in games. Having them on a larger base balances out the benefit to a larger aura area (as it's measured from the edge of the base) against being less maneuverable on and around scenery. We put ours on the smaller bases, opting for having the extra scenery and keeping the mobility of Gorden and Joker. If season five will be on E4, the channel usually waits until after a show's midseason break so they can show it uninterrupted. From a dark cell in a North Korean prison to the beautiful beaches of Cuba, 7 is on the trail of a diabolical genius who’s hell-bent on slicing up the Earth literally. The Living Daylights (1987) - Timothy Dalton plays James Bond for the first time in this instalment of the 7 franchise. The action this time sees Bond running around various exotic places in pursuit of a couple of seedy dealers in arms, drugs and diamonds. Casino Royale (26) - Daniel Craig stars as the latest incarnation of James Bond in the 21st instalment of the franchise. Based on one of the original Ian Fleming novels, the story follows a young Bond at the beginning of his career having just received his double- status. For his latest mission, 7 travels to Montenegro to investigate the highly exclusive Casino Royale where Le Chiffre (Mads Mikkelsen), a money man for an international terrorist group, is raising funds for their misdeeds through high-stakes gambling. The rookie MI6 agent, aided by British Treasury agent Vesper Lynd (Eva Green), is tasked with infiltrating the group and ultimately defeating the rogue player, both on and off the tables. Sam has also interviewed several comic creators, including Stan Lee, Alan Moore, Grant Morrison, and he has a zombie cameo in The Walking Dead comic.

The box also contains a couple of sheets of tokens to use in the game. There are a ton of tokens that are supplied, quite a daunting number at first, but I’m sure these will be of use in the game and I will get use to them over time. These are all made of good quality card that have a gloss surface. They look like they will survive the rigours of gaming quite well. In 2012, Sam made it to the final of the Leicester Square Theatre New Comedian of the Year competition, and went on to become a filmmaker himself, directing three features that have all played major festivals, and secured distribution – starring in two of them. The models are made of a softer, almost rubbery resin. As such, they require assembly with super glue, as plastic glue will not work on them. I actually found there was a lot of clean up to do with the models before they could be assembled. There was a significant amount of “flash” that needed to be trimmed and cut off before the models could be used. Maybe I have just been ruined by GW kits, but it took a while to clean up the models. However, none of the clean up seemed to damage or obscure any of the details on the models, so there were no issues when I did glue them together.

What's in the box?

The only downside is the work required for the models before they can be assembled, so it may not be suitable for younger players, or those without some degree of model making experience.
