Some people will use herbs or spices. Tumeric is probably one of the most noted and well studied as an anti-inflammatory for pain. It works really well. I find proteolytic enzymes to be extremely effective at acute pain relief in patients who need acute pain relief but don’t want to do non-steroidal inflammatory’s or some other type of pain medication. Sunshine makes serotonin. It helps you make melatonin, which is a natural pain reliever. It helps you make vitamin D, which is a natural immune regulator. It’s a pain reliever. Actually, vitamin D deficiency is known to cause muscle inflammation. It’s known to cause pain. It’s known to trigger autoimmune disease and it’s known to cause muscle atrophy. When your muscles atrophy and shrink, your joints become compressed so they become more exposed to the wear and tear. Again, sunshine, motion and movement, proper sleep. Not even to mention the addictive aspect of those medications but they kill a lot of people. They’re dangerous.

One of the reasons why these grains and legumes are not generally very great for people to consume as a staple food is because the plants have their own protective mechanisms. Their job is to protect themselves from irradiation of predators and we are the predator. These are not animate objects that can run away from us. These are seeds in basically … If we say legumes and grains are all seeds. The job of a seed is to protect and preserve its own species, not become a food source for predators. urn:lcp:nograinnopain30d0000osbo:lcpdf:bfdaf3ad-ea7f-43bc-b720-338efd4d0c64 Foldoutcount 0 Identifier nograinnopain30d0000osbo Identifier-ark ark:/13960/s26k1k2g2t5 Invoice 1652 Isbn 9781501121685 Often times referred to as “The Gluten Free Warrior”, he is one of the most sought afterfunctional medicine doctors in the world. Finally, you will receive reinforcement that your pain is not just in your head, but instead arises from a physical cause, one that you have the power to change. I don't know in what world these functional doctors live but a normal person can't eat such a strict diet forever. It would mean stop living. We are social animals....we have friends, a romantic partner, a career that involves lunch/dinners with colleagues (including your bosses), we want to go on vacations ecc. A diet as described in the book (and in other books written by other functional doctors) is completely impractical unless you are willing to give up literally everything.

Regardless of popular opinion, I often noticed when my clients ate grains and other so-called healthy foods, they felt terrible, became bloated, and struggled to lose fat. Gluten is a specific protein that shows up in specific grains. If you have a gluten sensitivity, it will wreak havoc on your body. If you do not, eating gluten will do no harm. Healthy whole grains are perfectly okay for everyone to eat (whole grain rice is an example of a healthy grain that is gluten free).
