Barrettine Wood Protective Treatment is perfect for use on most exterior timber structures, including sheds, fences, trellises, pergolas and wooden gazebos. Ideal for treating outdoor treated timber structures such as sheds, fences, trellis and pergolas, Barrettine Wood Protective Treatment is a low odour wood sealer for rough, sawn or smooth timber.If you find fault after 30 days of purchase you may wish to contact the manufacturer directly as they will be able to offer support with the product. Before application, the wood must have been dry for 24 hours and rain should not be forecasted for at least 48 hours after application to get maximum benefit from the treatment. It reduces decay, swelling and twisting, and contains a biocide film preserver that prevents the surface growth of mould or algae – your timber will stay stronger, and look better. Barrettine Wood Protective Treatment is suitable for outdoor use and also for use on windows/frames, external doors/frames and can also be used on structural timbers in unoccupied areas such as floor joists.

We advise to carry out a test area first in a discreet area to make sure you're happy with the final colour once it has dried. The colour swatches are an indication only and representative of the product applied to clean new/pale timber and rough sawn pine (2 coats). We do our best to represent colours as accurately as possible however screens variations and different surfaces can alter this.

If used on Wooden Garden furniture, make sure the coating has fully dried/cured and is colour fast before use. A 5L tin goes a long way too, offering you up to 30-40m² of coverage on rough, sawn or smooth timber. It can be used on pressure treated wood, treated timber or untreated wood and is suitable for rough, sawn or smooth timber.
