I think the overall balance is a bit off — and frankly, it could have been directed a touch more toward the fruit than the traditional elements of gin. Tanqueray, on the other hand, is made with just three botanicals: juniper berries, coriander, and angelica root. This new variety, Bombay Bramble, is infused with freshly harvested blackberries and raspberries (hence the deep, ruby-red hue of the gin). We use fresh local ingredients in this cocktail which combines Bombay Sapphire with the rich earthy flavours of carrot with uplifting citrusy coriander and sweet honey, then lengthened with Fever-Tree Soda Water. There is no definitive answer to this question as it depends on personal preferences, but generally speaking, top shelf gin is considered to be a high quality, premium spirit that is made with premium ingredients.
