About this deal

One of the features that sets this amp aside from its competitors is the bluetooth connectivity that it offers. The bluetooth connectivity is 4.0, which boasts a minimum range of 33 feet and a maximum range of 200. With this wide range, connectivity isn’t something that users need to worry about – however, due to its range requirements for bluetooth this amp is designed to be used for guitarists and buskers playing within small venues. The MkIV is much the same as the much-loved MkIII. There is the Colour switch that can cut the low-mids and boost the highs to help accentuate fingerstyle playing, and this you can fine-tune via the EQ. And transparency is still the name of the game (set at noon, the Compact 60 is totally neutral). But the MkIV comes equipped with an auxiliary input with level control, a pre/post-FX switch to let you place your direct signal before or after the onboard effects, and 9V phantom power on channel 1 to supply instrument preamps without a battery. The amp doesn't sacrifice tonal quality for beef. The timbre is clean, precise and quite hi-fi like, each of the EQ bands providing a smoothly graduated, non- extreme range. Solution: There’s an optional cover purposefully made to alleviate this problem. If you want to keep the looks of your amp, you might want to grab one. However, its looks doesn’t match the looks of the amp. And, although it’s just a cosmetic issue, some users are very particular about it. So, it’s your call to get the cover or just keep the amp in a safe place when traveling to and from gigs. Conclusion For busking as a solo artist or as a duet you need a small amp with enough power to be heard but without being power hungry enough that you need to stop your set after 30 minutes to let your amp recharge or carry around a generator as well.

The mic channel, with single XLR input, has two-band EQ and reverb level. There's no phantom power facility, so the channel is intended for dynamic rather than condenser mics. Somehow Fishman manages to squeeze all the amazing features of those big and loud amps on their Fishman Loudbox Mini. It’s the smallest in the Fishman lineup of acoustic guitar amps. It looks great, designed elegantly like the mid-century hi-fi system. Its brown-tan motif is outstanding on stage and seems professional. The best acoustic guitar amp for you can also be a question of outputs. If you are looking for a recording amp, or if you want to send a signal via PA speakers, you’ll need a line out or XLR DI output. Many of these amps will offer a variety of solutions here, with ground lift to kill hum and some with the option of choosing channels for the outputs.

Like the Fishman Loudbox Mini Charge, you can take this amp anywhere, with the choice of AC power via an adaptor at the wall or 8 AA batteries. The batteries are housed in a removable carriage and can be recharged. It’s not quite as elegant a solution as charging the Loudbox at the wall but bear in mind that should you leave your charger at home you can get batteries anywhere at a pinch. The on-board effects are extremely well integrated, and aren’t an afterthought like on so many other amps The instrument channel that the amp features comes complete with a blend of standard EQ effects, which for the low price of the amp is a fantastic addition. Amps such as the Marshall AS50D have a notch filter and a frequency sweep control to really give you control over it. Others will have phase switches, on/off buttons that cut some of the low-end frequencies that can cause mischief.

The Special Edition Fishman Loudbox Mini Bluetooth is now available from Merchant City Music, online and in our Glasgow store. We ship fast to the UK, Europe and worldwide. Fishman Loudbox Mini Bluetooth Special Edition Cream The Loudbox Mini Charge features 60w of power which is more than enough to gear heard in any busking location and the battery can last you 12 hours as long as you don't crank it up too loud and 4 hours if you have it set to max volume. The chorus effect of this amp is of a high standard, particularly when combined with the reverb addition. This YouTube video will help you get the right setting in case you really need to play for a much larger crowd. The Acoustic Singer series from Boss takes the bi-amp format to offer an all-in-one amp solution for singer-songwriters, and its excellent design, tone and value for money make it a hugely attractive choice for any electro-acoustic player. Compact yet powerful, the Fishamn Loudbox Micro 40w Acoustic amp is the perfect practice amplifier that delivers iconic Loudbox tones without taking up too much space. Boasting 40 watts of clean acoustic power, to Loudbox Micro delivers a natural, acoustic chime that preserves and projects the character of your acoustic guitar.

The Loudbox Mini Charge is the latest member of the Fishman Loudbox family. It takes the already very popular Loudbox Mini and adds in a rechargable battery that lasts for up to 12 hours at an average volume level. Ideal for buskers or traveling musicians that need to set up wherever they can this amp has everything you need to push your guitar sound out to the crowd! This amp comes with a standard aux and XLR input which is ideal for both mic and PA integration. The Fishman Loudbox Mini amp also has two channels which can be controlled individually, with the buttons being changeable without an external source meaning that it’s easy to get the perfect tone.Broadly speaking, this transparent performance places the acoustic amplifier at the mercy of your guitar; it’s only going to sound as good as your guitar. Where a great electric guitar amp can make a piece of firewood sound useable, the acoustic amp has to work with what it’s got. That is the rule of the thumb, and the platonic ideal is to own a great-sounding acoustic, right? This is seriously a top-notch amp, that doesn’t just have to be for regular buskers. As far as acoustic amplifiers go, pricing is often easily inflated due to brand heritage and some companies just slapping their name on the amp and put the price up because it’s ‘acoustic’. Featuring a dedicated microphone channel, Fishman preamp tone controls, and built-in digital reverb and chorus you are able to create spacious soundscapes and shape your acoustic tone. Specifications Honestly, it just might be! I’ve been a fan of Fishman as a brand for years, and they’re already very well known for quality amps used primarily by travelling guitarists and buskers.

Solution: Fishman recommends to use “compressed air” to blow out the potentiometers. Although this may not be a normal solution to hissing, some users said this solution works, and they didn’t have humming problems anymore. Issue 2: Need for a ground liftLoudbox Mini is great in a lot of ways. Though it’s small, it’s equipped to be able to deliver Fishman quality in all aspects. During the first use, it’s performance is smooth and promising. However, after a year or so of using this, humming issues occur. Since there’s no ground switch on the line out, it’s difficult to get rid of the hum in the system when it occurs. The Fishman Loudbox Mini Bluetooth is here presented in a Special Edition Cream finish. A full-featured acoustic guitar amplifier, the Loudbox Mini benefits from Fishman’s extensive knowledge of acoustic instrument amplification. 60 watts of power makes it suitable for most performance scenarios, while two channels, Bluetooth connectivity and a Balanced XLR D.I. give it plenty of versatility. But, with the mini, the brand ar enow branching out to bedroom guitarists and beginners alike. So, how does the Fishman Loudbox Mini hold up to our my rigorous review? Let’s take a look. If you're looking for a battery-powered amp that will make your acoustic guitar and vocals stand out at any medium-sized venue (indoor and outdoor), I honestly believe the Fishman Loudbox Mini Charge is the best option. It offers the amazing sound quality of the Fishman Loudbox series (obviously not as full and loud as the larger Artist or Performer amps, but still surprisingly good for its size), with the added benefit of portability. The battery will easily last for a longer show (I've played it for 4 hours straight while busking and it still had plenty of juice). If you add the car charger to your shopping list, you could literally take this amp anywhere you want to go. The on-board effects can add some flavour to your sound, although it doesn't give you a lot of fine-tuning options. Combining this amp with some battery-powered pedals or mixers, however you could broaden your sound and even add more than two instruments to the mix.
