It smells great, hardly projects, and doesn't cost a ton to go dripping off of a sweaty Florida athletic boy. I'm surprised that marjoram isn't the highest voted note, it's easily the most prominent to my nose after the opening and into the drydown. Smells generic, bitter and synthetic citrus, that one unripe fruit mixed with a bubbling soda drink. This is that orange creamsicle scent, that I've heard people say ADG Absolu smells like but not at all. Here, we have a nice juicy clementine orange and tangelo fruit medley crossed with neroli, achieved for cost with a number of synthetics at least for the neroli if not the orange.

I was worried that maybe this was the case here with my two John Varvatos Artisan and Artisan Pure bottles, so I sprayed ten spray of each on a clean shirt, and when came back a couple of hours later, no dice, all I could smell was the fabric softener on my clean shirts.The elegant, woody accords of the classic aftershave for men reflect a complex structure that is as versatile and rich in contrasts as the man who wears it. I love this scent along with Artisan Pure, but Artisan Pure lasts a whole 30 seconds for me and this actually lasts like its a real cologne.

Update: I just watched a video on YouTube and the reviewer (Malinee) mentioned this smelt like Orange Fanta/Mirinda (hypersweet orange carbonated water).

Performance is moderate with me getting about 3-4 hours of noticeably scent which isn’t a problem if you reapply with an atomizer. Like others have said, it just doesn't last very long but that's okay for me as I don't want to smell myself all day long.I’ve never Artisan uses things like tangelo and murraya, but it smells rather ordinary - a sweet spicy grapefruit cologne. Dig your fingernail into the rind of a clementine or a mandarin and peel it back, watching the little juice spray that follows. What a total disappointment, if the scent lasted, they would be so worth it, they do smell really good, but them only lasting all of a few minutes should be criminal.
