UK leading gardening brand Flymo announces its new range of cordless lawnmowers and handheld gardening tools for 2022, including ten new products under the Bosch Power For All Alliance, one of the largest cross-brand battery systems. This mower is a good option for someone who does not want to push around a large, heavy piece of machinery. The ‘Easi’ storage, which is a key selling point of this model, lived up to the claims and is very well thought out. For anyone who doesn’t have much space, this mower is well worth considering. A simple single lever for easy adjustments to the cutting height and an extra transport position of the handles to make it easy to move around the garden with ease

The main criticism I found seems to be about the batteries rather than the mower itself. A number of people have complained that they found the batteries failed after 2 or 3 mows and they had to get in touch with Flymo to get them replaced. I had no such issues and the problem may well have been rectified.Adding to Flymo’s EasiLife Go range of robotic lawnmowers are two new variations, the EasiLife Go 200 for lawns up to 200m 2 in size and the EasiLife Go 400 for larger lawns up to 400m 2 . As expected, the fact that the EasiStore 340R takes so little space when stored seems to impress customers the most. They love how the mower fits nicely in their smaller sheds. We tested this model in a variety of different lawn settings and were very pleased with the results. The grass was cut well and the rear roller is great for lawn stripes if you’re trying to impress the neighbours. We found that the 30-minute run time was quite adequate for our medium-size garden and when you use a battery-powered mower, you do realise how much easier it is than worrying where the cable is. The collection of the cut grass was good, certainly compared to a hover mower (which tends to blow clippings everywhere!). Having the option of charging the next set of batteries while you are using the mower will open up more options for continued use. However, if you do think you may need extra batteries before you buy the mower, it might work out cheaper just to buy a bigger machine. How does it rate?

With a large collection box of 35L and a full box indicator, you can spend more time mowing and less time emptying clippings. If storage space comes at a premium in your house, the Flymo EasiStore 340R can solve a lot of problems for you. It’s very easy to fold down and store it in tight spaces, and you can transport it anywhere you need effortlessly. In terms of overall construction, the mower feels very mid-range. It does not feel as sturdy as models such as the Cobra MX41 40V but it does cost less. Some of the plastics do feel a little soft or a little scratchy, but it certainly does not feel like a budget product that will break within a few months. I actually thought it was a significant upgrade on the slightly smaller Flymo Easistore 300R Li that I tested last year.
