About this deal

In conclusion, Curve is a fresh citrusy cologne with a spicy touch and a solid woody ending with musk. Siggelkow, Nicolaj. "Change in the presence of fit: The rise, the fall, and the renaissance of Liz Claiborne." Academy of Management Journal 44.4 (2001): 838–857. Highly influential article online. But this light, breezy scent is combined with the sweet pineapple and lemon, which makes the cologne unique and mesmerizing. The citrus part never moves away from the center of attraction. After that initial bit, Curve really gets going with the lavender note. That is probably the most important aspect of this fragrance and gives the composition its fresh and clean disposition. Curve smells sweet and warm, with bits of light coolness, breathing through the middle of the cologne. Both longevity and projection levels are moderate. Montblanc Legend lasted about 5 hours on my skin.

If you have not smelled Curve yet, the moment you do, it will remind you of your father or uncle because it was very trendy for that generation. The start of Curve is refreshing and energizing for the involvement of lemon and pineapple. You will receive a green touch from the cologne. Claiborne was born in Brussels to American parents. She came from a prominent Louisiana family with an ancestor, William C. C. Claiborne, who served as Louisiana's first governor after statehood, during the War of 1812. [1] Daria, Irene. The Fashion Cycle: A Behind the Scenes Look at a Year with Bill Blass, Liz Claiborne, Donna Karan, Arnold Scaasi, and Adrienne Vittadini (Simon and Schuster, 1990).Till you put it on, and realize that you never knew you wanted to smell like Bergamot and pineapple. Before Orion, before Accento, and certainly before Creed, we had the poor man's pineapple scent, but instead of being shoved to the shelves alongside the AXE brand, men clung onto this one heavily. Still, the citrus top notes are the main attractions, and when paired with that lavender note, it is great. This Liz Claiborne fragrance also features a cactus note, much like Tommy by Tommy Hilfiger, does. It must have been a thing in the late 90s to add cactus to popular scents, perhaps, that is the secret to their success. Claiborne Sport also has a woody and musky ending. Even though the pattern of the notes of Claiborne Sport makes it a perfect alternative to Curve, there are tones in the cologne that make it unique. a b "MADE Programs: Liz Claiborne and Art Ortenberg". School of Business Administration, University of Montana. Archived from the original on May 31, 2005 . Retrieved March 31, 2015. Notes include: fresh greens, pepper, lemon, pineapple, neroli, lavender, sage, cactus, sandalwood, juniper, ginger, cedar, amber, mahogany and water

Although the top note of lemon and some herbal spices remain, the cologne is mostly green, dry, and fresh. It is endearing, and many people recall seeing it at the mall in the early 2000s. The dry down of Curve is very woodsy and muscular. It has three different kinds of wood as its base notes, but mahogany gives the most robust support to the woody end. Sandalwood and cedar are also part of it.a b c Wilson, Eric (June 27, 2007). "Liz Claiborne, designer, Dies at 78". The New York Times . Retrieved July 15, 2023. Liz Claiborne, the designer of indefatigable career clothes for professional women entering the workforce en masse beginning in the 1970s, died Tuesday in Manhattan. She was 78. Her death, at New York-Presbyterian Hospital, was caused by complications of cancer, said Arthur Ortenberg, her husband. Ms. Claiborne learned in 1997 that she had a rare form of cancer that affects the lining of the abdomen. Unfortunately, Fierce was formerly a gigantic cologne. Fierce’s quality has deteriorated, and it no longer appears to have the same impact. That’s not to say that it will outshine all designer colognes, but it for sure punches above its weight class. The price range of Claiborne Sport makes it easy for you to blind-buy it. Claiborne Sport’s performance is moderate with moderate longevity, lasting 6 to 7 hours.

Curve is an old-school cologne released in 1996 by Liz Claiborne, and the nose behind it was Jean Claude Delville.

However, the cologne works excellently according to its price value, and not all colognes need to last forever.

Projection wise, Curve never really had a huge sillage to me, it could start off fairly strong but would sink into a lighter moderate area. That’s about what one should expect. Not a powerhouse, but a very nice value play. You will feel like you are wearing a modern version of Curve while wearing Curve Sport, as the cologne house has played the notes like the present time. Women love it. Like, it is unreasonable the attention that a simple cheapie like this brings, but it’s worth every penny. If you want something fresh, clean, and attractive for cheap…it’s not something you can go wrong with. Later, the dry-down contains wood, but tobacco wraps it up. The cologne becomes very muscular at the end as the tobacco is solid and classy. To categorize the original, it's an aromatic, fresh spicy, woody, citrus, sweet, green scent. Curve for Men is indeed a compliment-getter, which may explain why, despite its lowered price in recent years, it has a faithful number of wearers. Not my most complimented in one month, definitely the most complimented of all time. It does what Creed wanted to do, its sweeter, softer, but still stark enough for anyone in the room to notice you. This was the Dior Sauvage of its time, everyone had it, except while people can get tired of pink pepper, no one gets tired of the playful notes of pineapple.
