Walks with the Northampton U3A

This informal group meets on the second Tuesday of each month in members’ homes from 2pm until 4pm. Both walks are usually followed by an optional lunch at a pub or café. Walks are led by volunteers from among group members.

This 4th Book Reading Group meets on the 3rd Wednesday of the month, at 2 pm at members' homes. Please note some date changes in bold below. We need additional help on the Committee and at Meetings and Events. Please talk to a committee member if you are willing to help. See Prospective New Groups where help is specially requested. You don't have to be an expert, only interested and willing to help. Lots of guidance and help is available to assist Group Leaders.

Details of each month’s walk are sent out to the members of each walking group a week to 10 days before the walk. The Saturday book group who meet on the first Saturday afternoon of the month have space for new members. Each member takes it in turn to choose a book which is discussed at the following meeting. This leads us to read books outside our normal structure and leads also to lively discussions. Membership is open to anyone who is no longer in full time employment, who wants to broaden their experience through sharing or learning new skills, and make new friends.
