Hey Charles, I’m looking for a fragrance that I can wear in school but also outside. Like I said before it’s pretty cold in Sweden so I would like the fragrance to work in cold. I’m also interested in fresh fragrances but I’m not sure if they work good in the cold environment. I liked the sweet scent of JPG and I’m open for both fresh and sweet fragrances. I would want it to be versatile but also have a good performance. What sets Eros apart from other fragrances is its sheer versatility. It can essentially be worn anywhere, anytime. If you’re looking for something else, when would you consider wearing it? For work/school? In the evening or daytime? In summer or winter? Let me know and I’ll have a think. And i would like to know if that is really true or if it fits good in school because i will be using it most for the school. I’ve not smelled it but i know that i like sweet fragrances. So does it work good in school or should i instead go for something else you recommend. Because i find the Ultra male really interesting and i want to buy it but if it doesn’t fit in school it’s really useless to me.

Both the tonka bean and ambroxan persist as we journey into the base. Sweet and sensual vanilla is accompanied by warm vetiver whilst being contrasted against fresh cedar and oak moss. Nevertheless, it can still work reasonably well during summer thanks to lighter citrus and mint notes as well as the mildly aquatic ambroxide.

Hey again, I read your post about JPG ultra male and i am thinking should i buy Eros or Ultra male? And also what do you think about Versace Dylan blue beacuse those are the 3 i am thinking about buying so i would like to know your advice and what you think. Dylan Blue contains a fair bit of Calone and Ambroxan, which are very wintery aldehydes that are often associated with summer fragrances. Personally, I don’t think that it’s the best option for somewhere like Sweden. Hey Charles, I want a fragrance to wear in school and i am going to turn 17 this year, Would you still recommend Versace Eros over JPG Ultra male and Dylan blue? I also live in Sweden where it is like cool 90% of the time. And it is 77 fahrenheit at best in the summer but 95% of the time it is below 68 Fahrenheit. However, it proved to be far more popular among younger generations such as men and women around their mid-twenties. Whilst it was still enjoyed by men and women in their thirties, it was to a lesser extent. For instance, the men particularly appreciated the ambroxide and oak moss characteristics. Meanwhile, the women seemed to enjoyed its more gourmand facets such as the tonka bean and vanilla. Whilst it’s quite a youthful fragrance, both older men and women seemed to like it anyway.If worn in moderation, I think it would be ok for summer office wear. However, it might come on as a little strong during those winter months. Otherwise, it’s perfect for all-year casual wear.

Its effectiveness during winter has been the source of debate between Paul and I for years. I personally think that it’s better for late fall and early winter whereas he uses it throughout the season. For context, I live in France whereas he’s based in Philly. Meanwhile, it works really well during spring, autumn, and winter! From everything you’ve told me so far, this might be an excellent choice to fit your needs. I’m going to buy the ultra male and give it a try, it also started to snow yesterday so Ultra male will be fitting really well. And again thank you for helping me! You make a good point. 25°C is fine for Eros as is 20°C. Bear in mind that Eros is great throughout the year whereas Ultra Male is more an autumn and winter fragrance. That being said, Ultra Male might fare better for a longer period of the year in Sweden. Given your age too, it might also be a better fit. Hey Charles, I have heard that fresh colognes are not good in the winter and when it’s cold so it Dylan Blue still an option? Also if we ignore how much Eros and Ultra male cost which one would you think would fit me if we think about my age and how cold it is up here in Sweden. Also i would use the perfumes for the school and when i go out with friends. Because at the moment the two fragrances i am thinking about is Eros and Ultra male. Just giving you some alternative ideas! But JPG Ultra Male is still an excellent choice! As for Dylan Blue, it’s good and it was a favourite of Paul (our founder) when he was your age. However, I’m not sure how well it’s aged.

I think that Versace Eros could work for someone in their mid-thirties. However, I’d be more inclined to recommend Chanel Allure Sport instead. It’s much more effective, very long lasting and ideal as a casual (yet elegant) fragrance for men of our age. However, it’s quite pricey so I’m not sure if that’s okay for you. For those seeking something that can be worn almost anywhere anytime on a budget, Versace Eros is an ideal choice. It’s the perfect everyman with a decidedly rich tableau of various notes and accords. The resulting fragrance features and unique character that can blend into a variety of environments. By the way, I also recommend shopping on FragranceX.com as they’re much more affordable than other shops in Europe. I believe that they also deliver to Sweden.
