About this deal

The circulation pump of the system can be used to circulate the cleaning solution; however equipment which provides a more rapid circulation can provide a more effective clean. When using an external cleaning rig, the product can be dosed directly to the buffer tank of the rig (follow equipment manufacturer’s instructions). Maintaining system health is essential for ensuring that it runs both reliably and in an energy-efficient way, working towards Carbon Reduction Commitment goals whilst keeping employees or patrons comfortable. The Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 states that: For domestic systems, one litre, one rapid dose, or one 275ml tube of Sentinel X100 Inhibitor is sufficient to treat a typical system of up to 10 radiators (100 litres). Larger domestic systems should be dosed with twice this amount. Where systems are badly fouled, we recommend a longer circulation period (approximately 3-4 weeks). The product is not aggressive and can be safely left in the system for extended periods. X800 Fast Acting Cleanershould be circulated, preferably at normal operating temperature, with all valves open and the pump turned to maximum flow for a minimum period of 3 hours or until satisfactory performance is restored.

Closed heating and cooling systems: If the system is empty, add the product to any convenient point before filling. If the system is full, use a pressure dosing vessel to the product into the system.Limescale and corrosion are the two main causes of hydronic heating inefficiency, leading to radiator cold spots, boiler inefficiency, a noisy system and a number of other problems. Once a system has been prepared using one of the cleaners from the Sentinel cleaning range, it should be protected with Sentinel X100 Inhibitor to prevent limescale build up or corrosion. Our mission is to make best practice solutions simple. To achieve optimum performance and reliability for domestic central heating systems, follow our best practice process of clean, protect and maintain whether you’re commissioning a new system or revitalising an old one.The benefits of adhering to this best practice include improved performance, increased energy savings, and longer system life. Sentinel X100 Inhibitor should be dosed at 1% of system volume; ie. 1 litre per 100 litres of system water. Limescale and corrosion are the two main causes of central heating inefficiency, leading to radiatorcold spots, boiler inefficiency, a noisy system and a multitude of other problems. Once a system hasbeen prepared using one of the cleaners from the Sentinel cleaning range, it should be protected withSentinel X100 Inhibitor to prevent the occurrence of limescale build up or corrosion. The horizontal, front facing filter is designed to be fitted in the most restrictive of spaces whilst delivering fantastic debris capture.

When using concentrate gel, add directly to the heating system either via a radiator air bleed valve, orvia the fill loop using the appropriate adaptor and a suitable caulk gun.Vortex250 units feature an integrated isolation valve, a voiding the need for a strip down service; and a front-facing magnet, ensuring that where space is at a premium, no further space is required as the magnet can simply be removed at the front. Its formulation also contains agents to ensure the protection of system metals against corrosion during the cleaning as well as preparing the installation for the addition of Sentinel X100 Inhibitor. It is recommended thatX800 Fast Acting Cleaneris used in accordance with standard cleaning and commissioning protocols such as BSRIA Guide “Pre-Commission Cleaning of Pipework Systems”. litre, 1 300mlaerosol 400ml aerosol, or 1 275ml tube of Sentinel X100 Inhibitor is sufficient to treat a typicaldomestic system of up to 10 radiators. Larger systems should be dosed with twice this amount. Ideally, on the return pipe leading to a boiler. This is to stop debris entering the boiler and damaging it.

For details of how to dose using the Rapid-Dose format of this product, please watch the Rapid-Dose video. To clean an older system in accordance with BS 7593, this product should be circulated (preferably at normal operating temperature, with all valves open and the pump turned to maximum flow) for a minimum period of 2 hours or until satisfactory performance is restored. Use in conjunction with a powerflushing device to achieve a more rapid clean. Sentinel X400 High Performance Cleaner restores a more even heat distribution to the house, keeping the property warmer and bills lower. Reviving an old heating system is a more cost-effective way to return warmth to a property than the installation of a whole new system.Sealed systems: If the system is empty, add to any convenient point before filling. If full, use a dosing vessel to inject via the filling loop or other access point. Sentinel X100 Inhibitor can be added to the system in a number of ways. For open vented systems, dose via the expansion tank during the final fill. For empty sealed systems, add to any convenient point before filling. For full sealed systems, use a Sentinel Dosing vessel to inject via the filling loop or other access point. Sentinel X100 Inhibitor is also available in Rapid-Dose aerosol and Concentrate gel formats. For best results, systems should be cleaned and flushed with clean make-up water. New systems and those up to 6 months old with Sentinel X300, existing systems with Sentinel X400. If the system is already noisy due to limescale deposits in the heat exchanger, Sentinel X200 should be added together with Sentinel X100. The associated ACOP goes on to explain that the ‘temperature in workrooms should normally be at least 16 degrees Celsius unless much of the work involves severe physical effort in which case the temperature should be at least 13 degrees Celsius.’ Sentinel X100 Inhibitor provides protection for clean hydronic heating systems against limescale and corrosion. Suitable for use in all types of indirect heating system, Sentinel X100 Inhibitor will extend the life of the system, ensuring maximum efficiency and minimising fuel usage.

Sentinel X800 Fast Acting Cleaner eliminates magnetite and limescale deposits from heat exchangers, radiators, underflor heating floors and pipework. It restores more uniform distribution of heat in existing installations, for a better heated home and reduced energy bills. The unique composition of Sentinel X800 Fast Acting Cleaner provides a powerful penetrating cleaning action. It will restore more even heat distribution to a property, keeping occupants warmer and bills lower. The rapid, heavy-duty clean that Sentinel Fast Acting Cleaner provides is ideal when commercial heating systems require immediate, unscheduled maintenance.

A filter will help capture debris, in a collection chamber, and hold it there until the chamber can be emptied. After cleaning, the system should be drained and flushed until the water runs clear. On refilling, the system should be treated with Sentinel X100 Inhibitor or Sentinel X500 Inhibited Antifreeze.
