About this deal

You have to remember that I’m going at this with a brand new party. If your group comes into Rise of the Dread Moon, with at least the Game System under their belts, they may even be able to take on the Wraith with a better result than I got. Final Thoughts Hooded guys and Armored guys are in the AH Mage of the Mirror preview video as citizen or guards, who are likely those in the Queen's inner circle she didn't trust: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/1087533324307808286/1090014737074495629/image.png In the foreground there's on the left a hooded guy with a hand not holding anything but perhaps a magician about to cast a spell (no characteristic magic glow, but it's what they do). Some have called this guy the "cultist." But what would he be? Just an alternate of a Dread Sorcerer?

The Specter has the ability to cast the Dread Spell “Channel Dread” at will. At the very least, this means it can cast the spell once every turn. The “At Will” part may be a little confusing. Can this monster cast the spell outside of Zargon’s turn? I don’t think so, but we’ll have to wait to see if this is specified in the Quest Book. HeroQuest: Companion App Details and Release Date". Against the Ogre Horde was released in 1990 in Europe and Australasia, included Ogres, a more powerful monster type, while Wizards of Morcar was released in 1991, themed around the addition of enemy wizards. What could it mean!?A trailer was also released via the Hasbro Pulse YouTube channel on July 14, 2023, which was narrated by HeroQuest designer Stephen Baker (playing the character Mentor). As with every quest book, we start off with a message from Mentor. We are told that not everything is as it seems in the Elven kingdom of Elethorn. From the outside, all would seem well. The Princess has been saved, there are festivities going on in celebration of this. It would seem that the conflict has ended. If by some chance this is the Spirit Queen from the Mythic Quest, this would be amazing. Maybe they’ll include The Spirit Queen’s Torment quest book in the box with Rise of the Dread Moon. I know that it's probably a fool's errand to judge the Box Art too literally as to what the contents are. I think we can safely conclude that the portrayal of the Heroes, as in previous releases is probably non-literal (that is, the male barbarian/dwarf/wizard and female elf are the ones from the Game System, not evidence of new sculpts inside the box of these characters.. though that would be sweet if they had alternates!). HeroQuest, the revitalised dungeon-crawler board game, will cap off the first major narrative since its relaunch in 2020 with new expansion Rise of the Dread Moon.

Overall, This is a very difficult monster to beat, and it gives Zargon a lot of power to troll the Heroes by hitting, then escaping just out of reach. I’ll be honest, that encounter was a bit exhausting. Doing a bit of digging, I managed to determine the origin of the image. It popped up briefly during the Hasbro Investor Day 2022 Virtual Event which was livestreamed. saw the first computer adaption released. The HeroQuest computer game, forcing Sierra On-Line to rename their Hero's Quest series to Quest for Glory. A version of the game for the NES was developed to a prototype stage, simply named HeroQuest, but was never released. A sequel for the Amiga titled HeroQuest II: Legacy of Sorasil was released in 1994. [ citation needed] This section does not cite any sources. ( December 2020) ( Learn how and when to remove this template message)The Quest Book states that “Heroes do not have routine access to shops”. This implies that instead of shopping between quests, the Heroes must wait until they enter a Hideout to shop. In the European conclusion of Return of the Witch Lord, it’s revealed that Skulmar did not actually die and that the traitor Sir Ragnar helped him escape. The publication of expansion sets was then split between the European and Australasian markets and the North American markets. Starting with Kellar's Keep, released in Europe and Australasia in 1989, [7] and North America in 1991. Kellar's Keep added new quests, items, artefacts and a further batch of monster figures (more Orcs, Goblins and Fimir). Released shortly after in the same years was Return of the Witch Lord which extended the undead with more skeletons, mummies and zombies. I agree on the soul reference below Sinestra, but what if instead of Sir Ragnar, it's the manifestations of Specter's that she's able to create now? As it looks more like at the end of her hair, that she's giving birth to a Specter. And the other 3 Specter's floating out there have already been manifested, and this is new one she's creating from Elves she's corrupted or used her magic on for her ethereal army. As gritty as this is, I beg to ask if this could be a spawning mechanic in game? Sinestra's head appears, and starts spawning Specters based on some rule? That could certainly require a token for the spawn point, and than specter's just start from there. The hero's must reach her and destroy her mirror manifestation before being overrun by Specters, or perhaps get out safely before becoming over run like in KK Q5? That would be insane with their ethereal ability, not to mention Channel Dread. The final Assassin stands, staring down the Barbarian and the Guardian Knight. The Barbarian lunges forward, but the blow glances off the Assassins blade. The Guardian Knight leaps forward, blade connecting, but not enough to fatally wound the Assassin. The Wizard, come out of his daze, a vengeful cry from his lips, unleashes a Genie at the Assassin. The Genie tears through its target, leaving nothing behind.

I'm not saying Specters aren't a great addition to Hero Quest (They fit in better then Polar Warbears), but if you're fighting a monster that could float right through you, what good are standard weapons against them? It looks like we might have some more Elvish adversaries joining the forces of Zargon. I can see what look like some Elven archers, warriors, and some new Elven spearmen. Elven Spearman pictured here, along with a warrior Some new Elven Warriors, or maybe Elven Dread Warriors, with what appear to be feathers on their shields You can barely see the bow and arrow poking out of the side of this image For comparison; the Scout = The Scout (from Frozen Horror), the Arbalist = The Crossbowman, the Glaive = The Halberdier, and the Striker = The Swordsman. Three HeroQuest novels by Dave Morris were published: The Fellowship of the Four, The Screaming Spectre and The Tyrant's Tomb. [ citation needed] Now if the box is the size of FH/MOTM it's still hard to say... we don't know what other "swag" might be in there (character sheets? dice? furniture? something we haven't seen before??) but besides tiles, the quest book, probably some entrance/exist doors with unique styling... we'll have the monsters. What should we expect?
