About this deal

Utilizing top-quality 3D NAND Flash and rated to endure 3K P/E cycles, Transcend's microSDXC 460T memory cards combine the advantages of high performance and exceptional endurance at an affordable price. They are ideal for write-intensive applications such as medical devices, surveillance systems, and POS terminals. As there’s no GPS, so you won’t be able to pinpoint where a video was recorded, or exactly where you were of how fast you were going when an incident occurred. Since there was no battery inside I came to the conclusion that the two super capacitators (3.3F 2.7V) where there to power the dashcam memory when it was turned off. b) To fix the chrome bezel issue, I did a matt insulation tape wrap around the lens. Not only did it cover the chrome ring, but also the lettering on the front of the lens. See pics here – UPDATE : In early 2015, a new version of this camera was announced, the Transcend Drive Pro 220 which supports GPS and GLONASS. The Transcend DrivePro 200 is a good buy if you want WiFi. If WiFi is not important, consider a smaller, more discreet camera. If you are looking for a WiFi enabled dash cam, the Transcend DrivePro 200 is a good value. Video quality is good (but not the greatest) and build quality is good. Unfortunately the form factor is not as discreet as we would like and GPS is not included. As of 2015, there is a GPS-enabled version of this camera available, called Drive Pro 220. Main differences to the older DrivePro 200 are:Have now spoken to Transcend, older units cannot be upgraded to v2. Shame really, but they must have made a few Hardware changes in newer units.

We accidentally sent a push message while testing DrivePro mobile app, we will avoid this situation in the future. It comes with a G-sensor so your video files will be saved if a sudden breaking maneuver or impact is detected. It also has a large emergency button that you can use to the same effect for any footage that you would like to keep for whatever reason. The camera records 1080p at 30 frames per second and has a bit rate of 15 Mbps. The DrivePro 200 has very good video quality during the day and good video quality at night. For the money this is a good buy if you want WiFi. If WiFi is not important, consider a smaller, more discreet camera. Innovative Lens Design:Seven glass lenses offer superior image quality compared to cameras with plastic lenses. The layered lens system and an extra-wide, 160°viewing angle capture a broad field of view from the driver’s perspective. The addition of an infrared filter prevents fogging from heat generated during extended recording sessions, guaranteeing undistorted and clear video at all times.Let’s jump straight into the flaws, which are predominantly due to the design of the product. Firstly it’s size (67mm x 72mm x 35mm). Not the biggest dash cam I’ve seen, but certainly not the most compact either. It’s smaller than most Sat Navs, so it’s not really an issue when it comes to obscuring your view, but it’s visibility when left in the car is more obvious. Free 16gb memory card (32gb supported) – 16gigs will give you over 400 mins of footage before it loops over. I have today, upgraded it to v1.26, in hope that it will solve this issue, has anyone else had a problem with the unit resetting constantly? Day/Night Recording:The Transcend DrivePro 200 dash cam has a large F2.0 aperture combined with its 1080p resolution deliver high-quality video that automatically adjusts to changing light conditions. Capture all the evidence needed, including license plates and road signs, in both day and nighttimedriving conditions. Maximum storage capacity is 32GB.The DrivePro 200 accommodates microSD memory cards up to 32GB. Larger capacity cards will render the device inoperative.
