Palate: Thin body. The tongue burn is almost nonexistent. There is a hint of smoke, like smoked salt, but mostly it’s all about toasted nuts, dates, and chewy buttery toffee. A cursory examination of online whisky retailers shows that while Tamnavulin whisky is available in the US, it is only carried at a few shops. Distribution is much wider in Europe and the UK. The Double Cask was the first modern single malt expression from Tamnavulin, which now also sells a Sherry Cask, a Red Wine Cask, and a number of exclusive editions. A Tamnavulin ősi gael nyelven „a hegyen lévő malmot” jelenti. Ez a lepárló helyén lévő egykori malomra utal: a régi időkben a környéken élő gazdák rendszeresen ide terelték a juhaikat, mert a malom vízienergiája a gyapjúkészítésben is kulcsszerepet játszott, később pedig a whiskykészítésben vették hasznát.

It has a thin mouthfeel with apples, citrus fruits, vanilla and cereals. It's a bit green and bitter (wood tannins?) too however. I prefer bourbon coming from USA but wanted to try this while traveling in Sweden. Took 1 glass to get familiar with the taste, but i found it to be delightful change from my heavier bourbon taste

Its cheap and great. To be honest i've tried several single malts much more expensive than this and everytime i taste it i love it.
