About this deal

Many books on systematic theology use the method of dividing God into two parts: God’s transcendent nature and God’s character. This chart type is used to visualize part-to-whole data; it works well here to show the categories and sub-categories of those parts used in the Bible to describe God. My heart is to show that God’s word can be approached, wrestled with, analysed and meditated on. The Bible is one of the key places we encounter God and his heart for a relationship with us, bringing nourishment and wholeness as we interact with it. The infographics range from simple to complex, showing different levels of information. Look out for a key on the more complex ones to help you process that information. Remember that the graphics take the leading role with the text playing only a supportive one.

Several times during this project I have been given the Bible verse Exodus 31:1-11. There was this incredible guy Bezalel who God chose to lead a team of creatives, he was filled with Gods Spirit, wisdom, understanding, knowledge and all kinds of skills to make artistic designs which would form the place where God met with his people and worship happened. Some of the key people in my project support team, again in various roles, were also from Vineyard, people like Miriam, Abi, and our Chloe (see pp216-217). Carlisle Vineyard really was and still is a key place of support, they really did make up quite a lot of my personal support team and I shall be eternally thankful! The heart of this book is all about restored relationships, it had to be birthed through community we were created to flourish in it!) Oh and learning Excel! I moved from refusing to work with it, to thinking ‘I guess its ok’, to ‘ach I LOVE Excel!’ Without learning that skill, to create and analyse data, nothing could be designed!I’ve had so many powerful moments with him, things I knew in my head but when I see the results from the data being analysed there was a deeper and profound revelation. One of those moments was seeing the totals of Jesus declaring himself being equally Son of God and Son of Man! WOW! Catching up on some sleep I think… and then who knows, it’s one of the things I love about being freelance and get so excited working with Jesus, because who knows the doors he is going to open next! About the Infographic Bible

The New Testament has graphics of all Jesus' teaching, all His parables, and who He taught and how. I will normally always warn against radial charts. Harder to read accurately they often distract from the data to be compared. But this radial version of a unit chart to convey the sheer scale of Solomon’s wealth is aesthetically pleasing as well as enabling relative comparisons of scale. More effective than lists of numbers in the text. Analysing the themes of Jesus’ teaching by volume of references (p150) The second is how the prophecy was fulfilled, which is revealed by the type of line: dashed for affirmation by others, dotted for a claim of Jesus, and solid for a record of an event. If you are looking for an exciting way to learn more about the Bible or to teach the Bible to others, then The Infographic Bible – Visualising The Drama Of God’s Word by Karen Sawrey is an essential book to add to your biblical reference library!

Covering themes such as the First Family Tree, the Nature and Character of God to the Sacrificial System and Jesus I AM, this fascinating book, painstakingly gathered and presented in this unique and beautiful way will appeal to both the Christian and non-religious readers alike and provide unexpected insight into (one of) the most important book/s ever written. It takes about 10 hours total to read all four Gospels and the book of Acts. If you spend 20 minutes per day, you could read all 5 books in just 1 month. It takes about 15 hours to read all of the Prophets, from Isaiah to Malachi. Spend just 30 minutes a day reading the Prophets, and a month from now you will have finished all 17 prophetic books. Read on your preferred digital device, including smart phones, tablets, laptops, and desktop computers. The Infographic Bible is a colorful book full of useful details. However, the type face is so small and the font color so light, it is often hard to read and understand the information included by the author. The book, thus, becomes more of a coffee table book, than a useful reference book. Once you open The Infographic Bible, you’ll find it difficult to put it down. As a teacher, you could build entire lessons around the infographics contained in this book!

I would absolutely recommend “The Infographic Bible” to anyone wanting to enhance their Bible studying, and better understand Scripture. You definitely won’t be disappointed with the amazing amount of thought, effort, and work that was put into creating this sensational Bible study tool. I had a powerful moment working on the Ark and Tabernacle, revisiting the level of detail in the design brief and spec given by God, the minutiae that had purpose, meaning and delighted God! That detailed brief given by God in Exodus took skill, patience and perseverance to execute and only with anointing, producing something of excellence for his Glory alone! That brought greater freedom, increased permission and affirming to me as a creative. He is so so good! What would you say to creatives out there who are dreaming dreams? How can they turn their dreams into new Kingdom realities?

Church Times/Sarum College:

The design also has meaning. The circles marking each prophecy are only outlined, and the circles for fulfillments are solid to reflect each prophecy has been completed. Colors are chosen to communicate Jesus’ presence, using the tones of spring and summer. Some of the graphics in this book are difficult to understand. Yet, once you do, using this book alongside your Bible-reading becomes a very powerful study tool, and brought light to things I had difficulty grasping from just reading the text of the Bible. This is definitely not a replacement for the Bible, but when used as a supporting tool, it brings the Bible to life in an amazing way. Throughout the book follows the unifying theme of God's love, mankind's rebellion, and God's work to reconcile and redeem mankind.

Karen Sawrey: I believe the Bible is one of the key places we encounter God and his heart for a relationship with us, bringing nourishment and wholeness ( Proverbs 4:20-22). It’s an incredible, life-bringing gift extended to every single person—enjoy! Bio: Conceptual designer, illustrator, and lover of all things paper and ink, Karen Sawrey is passionate about engaging a visual generation with creative ways to see and digest information. Karen has over 20 years experience stretching across a wide range of media, including top magazines, global charities, and publishers, including HarperCollins, Hodder & Stoughton, and Penguin Random House. Having worked in central London, she now continues to flourish as a creative among the Northern Hills, still loving paper, people, and life to the full. It was my delight to art direct and refine the whole project and with the exception of 16, I was also the designer and illustrator. Again I had an incredible team, some illustrator contributors and supporters who came in for a few specific graphics, then a couple of guys who were core design, working with me throughout the whole 5 years; there was another designer and an amazing illustrator intern who volunteered one day a week.

In just 12 minutes per day, you could read the whole Bible in a year. Does that still feel a bit ambitious? In just 6 minutes per day, you could read the entire New Testament over the course of 6 months. Whatever your pace, the point is to make daily Bible reading a habit. You'll be surprised by how much you can read over the course of a relatively short period of time! For new and seasoned believers alike, The Ultimate Infographic Guide to the Bible delivers invaluable historical, cultural, and contextual insights so you can better understand Scripture. These fascinating charts, graphics, and timelines will enrich your reading experience by I simply could not have done this journey without a very real relationship with Jesus, Father God (who I call ‘our Dad’) and the wonderful Holy Spirit. Karen Sawrey: Think about fitting a camel through the eye of a needle. That’s what I felt like I was doing! As we create with God we worship him and as we worship God creativity is released! AMAZING! It’s a wonderful and powerful cycle and relationship (see pp112-113).
