About this deal

With the Arccos Link Gen2, the company hasn’t reinvented the wheel. The enhancements, especially the visual ones, are so subtle you likely won’t notice. Arccos Link will work with all our 2 nd and 3 rd generation, full set, non-Bluetooth products, including Arccos 360, Arccos Smart Sensors, Arccos Smart Grips, Cobra Connect and PING Smart Sets. It will not work with our 1 st generation Bluetooth product or Arccos Driver. If you have a Bluetooth putter sensor you may be eligible for a free putter sensor upgrade, please see the next FAQ for more information.

Fortunately, it was. On the 17th hole I started getting a little beep every couple of minutes that I assume was it telling me that the battery was getting close to dead. But I made it through the round with no issues. But alas, with the introduction of Arccos Link, this is no longer the case. But does it live up to expectations after being so hotly anticipated? Sean – now a few months removed from launch and with a new, even higher, price tag and current level of Apple Watch support etc., do you still think this is a worthwhile addition? Arccos Link is a small device that you clip onto your belt that recognizes all of the shots you hit using the Arccos Caddie system, without having to have your cell phone on you.Once charged you do need to ensure the device is turned off before storing it away in its pouch otherwise it will stay on standby and you’ll be left with not enough power when you need it. Arccos Single Smart Grips are compatible with all Arccos products, including 1 st, 2 nd and 3 rd Generation Arccos Smart Sensors, Arccos Smart Grips and Smart Sets (Cobra and PING). With that said, Arccos describes the Link Gen2 as having sleeker look. There are some cosmetic differences: logo placement, accent details, etc., but other than a tighter fitting belt clip, you’d be hard-pressed to spot much of a difference. Another improvement with the Link Gen2 is the addition of GORE protective vents. That’s basically a tradename for a bit of environmental proofing intended to keep the stuff you encounter on the golf course (dirt, moisture, that sort of thing) from working its way into the second-generation Link and corroding the electronics. I did pull out my phone every few holes to keep an eye on it, and during my first round I also had one caveat.

As others have pointed out, the belt clip is prone to breaking. However, their customer support has always been responsive and sent no-cost replacements. Give the gift of membership to the golfer in your life. The award-winning Arccos app requires an annual membership. Now you can gift a current Arccos member their membership. It’s the smartest gift in golf.I was actually surprised just how seamlessly it integrated into the current system. Does Arccos Link Work Well? Don’t get me wrong, using just the grips or sensors on their own are still fantastic, but the Apple Watch and Link truly take it to the next level. There is one other HUGE benefit to Arccos Link that I haven’t mentioned yet: the ability to use Arccos anda bluetooth speaker. Yes, as all your shots are now recorded by Arccos Link you will be able to play music on your smart phone or via a Bluetooth speaker. I forgot to charge my device as soon as I got it, so I plugged it into the USB port in my car on the way out to the course – so it only had about 20 minutes to charge, which Iwasn’t sure would be enough to get me through the round.
