He brought a movie and book advent calendar, decorated the table and prepared yummy, delicious food to eat.

I got the impression that rather a lot of you succumbed to NPBs in 2020 too! So we’re in this together Mums and Dads and here are a few ideas, some healthier than others, for this year’s North Pole breakfast and at the end, some top tips. Or turn white iced doughnuts into a snowman with chocolate chip eyes and orange fondant or peanut M&M nose. Last year we kept things fairly simple with crumpets, pain au chocolates, hot chocolates and sugar free jelly with fruit and cream. This year I am planning a far more extravagant affair- so watch this space! On the 1st December we normally have a North Pole breakfast as part of our Christmas traditions. We’ve been doing this for a few years now but the last 2 years it has really become a ‘thing’ and more and more families are having them. Now of course, you don’t have to have them on the 1st December. You can chose to have them on any date you wish. And, it doesn’t have to be a North Pole breakfast! It can be a North Pole Lunch or even a Dinner! Equally, pancakes can easily have a Christmas Twist. Turn homemade or shop-bought pancakes into Santa with a whipped cream face, chocolate chip eyes and either a strawberry sauce or healthier fresh strawberry hat. Once you have decided on your print you can use it to wrap your tabletop fully or as a table runner on an existing table cloth (or the snow blanket).

For a Christmas-themed cereal addition, we love these Easy Rice Crispy Rudolf The Reindeer by Eats Amazing (see here for the recipe). Hot Chocolate– We all know elves love their sweet drinks, so imagine the surprise when your elf brings with it pink hot chocolate! Aren’t these Rudolph Pancakes sweet! And with the addition of a little fruiy, surely all that sweet syrup is cancelled out 🤣If you fancy making it yourself you could get the kids involved the day before (keeping the breakfast a surprise). We recently reviewed the Nadiya’s Bake A Story Delux Set which has a lovely Gingerbread recipe see here.

Or you can find some cute ornaments in some of the bargain stores including these resin polar bears and penguins in Poundland. I just love the bacon and pancake snowman idea! This will so be getting done and I know the peppermint doughnuts are a super-naughty treat but for this breakfast, anything goes! Fairy Bread is a traditional Aussie party food. You’ll get no points for healthy eating but at least the kids will have plenty of energy!!

Savoury Breakfast Foods

Or you could enlist the help of your Elf On The Shelf theming with Candy Cane colours of red and white. Or take inspiration from Eats Amazing’s Reindeer Pizza Quesadillas swapping out the Pizza ingredient for breakfast items or lets the kids enjoy pizza breakfast and keep to the original recipe.

This is another very simple savoury idea that takes no time at all. Simply take as many slices as bread as you will need and Stamp a Christmas picture on each slice using a biscuit cutter. Press down just enough to leave a clear indent but don’t cut all the way through the bread. The bread can be covered and put on the table ready for toasting. When toasted the Christmas pictures will show up nicely. You could even create matching table mats (by wrapping cardboard rectangles), and or cutlery holders – all for around a pound. Christmas Plates and CupsThen you’re in the right place. Today, I’m sharing my favorite North Pole Breakfast ideasthat are sure to put a smile on your little’s face from ear to ear. We love these Christmas tree waffles . Make a version yourself by adding green food colouring to a waffle mix, then cutting the made waffles into three sizes of triangles.
