About this deal

In the show's second episode (identified as Episode 1 after the pilot), a shot at time code 22:43 looks really poor, possibly even upconverted from standard definition. Fortunately, it's very brief and all the footage around it looks fine. I'll be honest that I have not had time yet to watch every episode, so it's possible that minor problems like this may occur elsewhere. violently. And it all pairs with the series' video presentation masterfully. Again, I couldn't be happier. UPDATE #2: David Lynch himself has now confirmed the upcoming Twin Peaks Blu-ray release and we have it on video! When: Twin Peaks Blu-ray Release Date yes, but with a growing fanbase as fascinated by the series and its strange smalltown mysteries as it is by the story of its production,

Secrets from Another Place: Creating Twin Peaks (HD, 106 min.) – The most substantive feature from the Definitive Gold Box DVD was this feature-length, four-part production documentary, which covers the origins of the series as a script called 'Northwest Passage' through to the final episode. Countless members of the production team are interviewed, and a lot of behind-the-scenes photos and video are shown. During its two brief seasons on the ABC network, David Lynch's surreal mystery thriller Twin Peaks was one of the most extraordinary things to have ever aired on television. Unfortunately, the show burned so brightly that it couldn't possibly last. Despite having captivated the world for its initial run of episodes, the series lost the majority of that audience within a year and was canceled shortly afterward. The theatrical prequel movie Fire Walk With Me was also a notorious box office bomb in the summer of 1992. Stinging from those failures, Lynch dropped any plans to continue the property further. For many years, he insisted that, even though it ended without narrative closure, the case on Twin Peaks was closed and he couldn't see himself ever revisiting it. Twin Peaks Promos (Disc 6, HD, 1 minute): A pair of promos advertising the series' move to a different night, presented inFor 25 years, fans of David Lynch's cult TV series Twin Peaks assumed that its feature film prequel, Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me, was the end of the road for Agent Cooper, Laura Palmer, and other beloved characters. During its release in 1992, the movie was a box office bomb, was excoriated by critics who didn't understand anything about it, and even proved divisive among the show's loyal watchers. Although it eventually grew in appreciation over time, the film was judged a disastrous failure initially, causing Lynch to cancel any plans to further explore the property. This was especially frustrating given that the movie provided no closure for the cliffhanger that ended the TV show or other dangling narrative threads. Hotline (SD, 23 min.) – At the height of the show's popularity, the producers and network set up a pay telephone line where fans could listen to pre-recorded messages from the cast in character. (Yes, kids, your parents actually paid for stuff like this.) The disc includes a TV ad and eight of the messages. The volume and quality of the recordings is very poor. Everything below was written before the official announcement of Twin Peaks: The Entire Mystery on May 15, 2014: tender loving care afforded the show -- but it still delivers and bests everything release that's come before it, domestic or intentional. and producing, MacLachlan's withdrawal from the project, recasting Donna Hayward after Lara Flynn Boyle declined to return, and other levels are deep and inky, without hindering delineation. Detail is excellent too, from the pilot to the second season finale, with clean, naturally The Missing Pieces Teaser (HD, 2 min.) – An advertisement for the Blu-ray's deleted scenes supplement. The most effective episode of the season is certainly Part 8, which has both everything and nothing at all to do with what’s going in Twin Peaks. Essentially a prequel of sorts, it reveals the nuclear “birth” of a Woodsman, personified as the dark husk of a man with an unlit cigarette in his mouth who asks “Gotta light?” of everyone he meets. This whole episode, including the nuclear blast, the Woodsman himself, and his effect on the people of a small New Mexico town, is one of the most disturbing and artistic pieces of TV in ages. Nothing else even comes close. On the flipside, the episode in which the Log Lady says goodbye to Hawk over the phone is heartbreaking, in that Catherine E. Coulson died not long after the show wrapped. It’s the kind of pathos you’re not really expecting at all and it’s devastating. The adventures of Cooper as Dougie, with his family in Las Vegas, are unexpected and enjoyable too. It’s also heartwarming to see Ed and Norma finally come together officially. Promos (HD, 3 min.) – A couple of very clever and funny network ads announce a broadcast marathon and a scheduling time change. I am wondering, if the French or German version of the box will have printed texts and names in French or German…
