The dialogue between characters seemed distant, without much feeling, however the book was still able to leave me feeling such raw emotions.

I have read one of her other books, Sin, dealing with the subject of Envy and while it is good but I think Damage is better. And to watch those trapped by genius forced to sacrifice themselves, and those trapped by talent to emulate them. Foreshadowing: Anna's Dark and Troubled Past (her brother committed suicide because he was jealous of her boyfriend) foreshadows the end of the film: Martyn (who looks like Anna's brother) dies because he is under shock when he discovers that Anna has a secret lover.
