In theory, this book could have been another 500 pages long, and they still would barely have scratched the surface, but even so the amount of material that they managed to cram in was adorable.

If there’s anyone who still yearns for London to leave the UK, Eliot and Lloyd-Rose show that the idea is not without its historical precedent. Interesting, wacky, surreal, and little known facts fill this huge book with hours of interesting reading. I feel that with a bit of a revision the information in the footnotes could be included in the main body of the text and that the book would read better because of it.

Because of the recent COVID-19 we expect a child to bring in a comforter and anything that calms them down such as noise machine etc and then that will stay here at nursery. This is a result of a creative wanderlust that seeks beauty in the everyday,humdrum life and turns it around to create objects with value and aesthetics. Its 26 chapters weave together the city's stories with striking reflections, practical ideas and itineraries, and contributions from London voices such as Monica Ali and Iain Sinclair. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who’s interested in ecology, sustainable and inclusive businesses and getting a personalized (and fun! This is truly a book for London anoraks, of which I’m a fully paid up member, as such my first instinct when opening a book is to look for information about the production.
