The Vicious Lost Boys by Nikki St. Crowe is a dark reimaging of Peter Pan and Wendy. This series has four books in total in the main series, though there is going to be a spin-off book in the future. This review is going to focus solely on the main series. These books are fairly short reads, so you can easily read each of them in one sitting. They do have an enemy-to-lover and reverse harem vibe to them, as well as darker undertones. If those aren’t your vibe, then this series isn’t for you. The Never King Clan markings were being ripped down in the town, and in their places crude animal totems were thrown up. And the reason for such deceptions? There was a dark flood of barbarian tribes from the north making forays into the Plains of Mica, their armies streaming forth into the northern reaches of Stravimon. That was a cause for concern to the king. If the tribes came together in their thousands it would be a bloody mess for the towns and cities far beyond Baradium Falls. Most men don’t realize this,” she said once, “but us girls, we have toolboxes too. Ours aren’t stuffed with hammers and wrenches and screwdrivers. My favorite genres will always be Romance & Fantasy, and I read every subgenre underneath those two genres. (Sorry, not a fan of nonfiction, so don't try to convince me to read it.) He eavesdropped on conversations, built up a network of inmates who reported to him. Ironically, he felt that the prison structure wasn’t that different from the machinations of court life. I thought Peter Pan was a myth and Neverland a fairytale. A story spun by my mother who had lost her mind a long time ago. Each male character you either love or hate. The twins I liked. Their curiosity got them in trouble, though. One Lost Boy in this book went a little too far. (No spoiling here) Peter Pan and Vane are ones that you hate at first, especially Vane, until you get to know them more, and I want to know these two more. I love some morally grey male characters, and Nikki St. Crowe wrote these characters well. Maybe too well. I can’t afford to add any more book boyfriends to my list. My husband is getting jealous. Jorund daubed woad to his face within the cramped confines of his watchman’s house and considered the grim situation ahead. Those too young and too old to participate in the coming battle were escorted into the nearby caves – Jorund’s young, pregnant wife, Carmissa, among them. All who remained were willing fighters determined to protect their homes.
