If you had asked me at the 50% point, this book was headed for a five star review…then, it did the literary equivalent of jumping the shark. Although I’ve read a lot of books about that period in history, I always feel I learn something new about the events that happened at that time. All in all, the book is very aptly named, and I recommend it to anyone who loves good writing, women's fiction, WWII stories, and HEAs. Hmmm it appears that her own wedding dress was not made with the magic of “happily ever after stitches” or was it?
