About this deal

PGA Tour 2K21 marks the first time the series has been released on the Switch, however, and given that HB has had to technically downgrade its game to be playable on Nintendo’s system, the results aren’t too shabby. It’s certainly the most realistic looking golf game on the Switch, although when your competition includes Golf Story and What the Golf?, we suppose ‘most realistic’ is a prize it gets purely for existing. Hit the green with up to four players locally* or online** and golf with friends from the Super Mario™ series like Mario, Peach, Yoshi, and more! Modes range from Standard Golf to the energetic Speed Golf and an exciting Golf Adventure. Simple motion or button controls make it easy for both new players and seasoned pros to drive and putt.

This is one of my favorite games on the list by far. It’s fun and offers a unique POV on the golf video game niche, creating an enjoyable experience for anyone who’s a fan of the RPG genre. Party Golf Now, Golf Club Wasteland isn’t exactly a traditional golfing game. It does, however, require you to consider the trajectory of your ball, hit with the appropriate amount of power, and try to get in the hole as efficiently as possible. But rather than playing on a green, you’re instead playing on an apocalyptic wasteland. This is Earth, in the future, when all it is good for is a rich man’s crazy golf course. This is what makes it one of my favorite sports games on the Nintendo Switch. It’s incredibly simple, sure, but it pulls off this simplicity with style. I love golf, and though I haven't played any golf in about 15 years, I really wanted to have a proper golf game for my switch.

Tee off at the same time with up to three other players* and race through the course to get your ball in first. Mayhem is par for the course as you hinder your opponents with dashes and Special Shots. Yoshi can dash atop a giant egg and King Bob-omb can pelt the green with explosions! In Battle Golf, watch out for obstacles like Thwomps, Chain Chomps, and banana peels as you navigate the neon-themed Super Golf Stadium. Golf! With explosions! That’s pretty much the elevator pitch for Super Inefficient Golf, and honestly, what else do you need to know? It’s not exactly a realistic golf sim, but it is one of the most fun golf games out there, and is great fun to play with friends. It’s worth noting that this is a very short game which banks on people wanting to replay it and try out new tactics. While it’s certainly not a game that you’ll be able to keep playing for days on end, it’s a fun experience that encourages you to think creatively and try out new things. Rookies can take advantage of real-time tutorials, tips and shot suggestions. Already a pro? Master your game with Pro Vision, Distance Control, Putt Preview, and other innovations.

Reviews

If you’re after a serious golfing game on Switch, then you can’t do better than PGA Tour 2K21 right now. After creating your character, PGA Tour 2K21 allows you to embark on a sizeable career, working your way up from the bottom. Along the way you’ll earn a host of rewards, including money that can be used to buy new clubs and clothing options, allowing you to customise your character even further. Outside of the career, you can even design your own courses before sharing them with others.

Hit the links with friends by playing local and online matches, including Alt-Shot, Stroke Play, Skins and 4-Player Scramble. Forget serious golfing for a second. If you simply want to have fun, they don’t come much more enjoyable than What the Golf?. Unless you’re looking for a serious sim, this is hands-down the best golfing game on Switch. Trust us. The game mechanics in Golf Peaks are deceptively simple. The aim of the game is to get the ball in the hole in as few moves as possible, but there’s a layer of intrigue added with a card mechanic that dictates how many spaces you can move in one go. As the game develops, you’ll have to contend with more puzzles, styles of shot and obstacles. I also agree with the review here about other courses, if you like golf, then you would like to have St.Andrews included, or just any other courses than the ones from the U.S. It feels like they made a game for people from the U.S, and didn't include the rest of the world.

Overview

In this update, a new ranked mode will be available via the main menu. You can select Standard Golf or Speed Golf and tee off with 3 other players*. Depending on your performance, you’ll earn points that increase your rank (and boost your ego). Reach a certain rank each month to obtain special character variants, like different colors for Yoshi and more! Could it be better? Definitely! Hopefully they will include some courses and fix the bugs at a later point, but for now I'm just trying to get my swing together and learn how to play. Infinite Minigolf is a premium example of a modern mini golf game for the Switch. It’s a great party game, and offers lots of solo play options as well. It plays well, the controls aren’t too complex and the user generated maps make it very enjoyable to play through. What the Golf? In this game, you swap out your typical golf clubs and courses for a handful of powerful explosives and puzzling layouts to work through. You have to add explosive devices to your golf ball in a strategic manner to get it into the hole, navigating physical hurdles and difficult maps along the way. There’s a heap of Mario sports games available, and Mario Golf: Super Rush is arguably one of the most enjoyable installments to get your hands on right now. It’s fast-paced, lighthearted and very enjoyable to sit and play through with friends.

Play against Justin Thomas and 11 top pros on stunning, real-life courses including TPC Sawgrass, East Lake Golf Club, and more. Why? Well, it’s clearly been designed with love, and with only one goal in mind: for its players to have a riotous, hilarious time. At first glance it might look like a normal golfing game, and indeed, your goal is always to get something to the flag on the green. We say ‘something’ because rarely is it a regular golf ball you’re putting. Fling a golf club across the screen? That’s more like it in What the Golf?. The best levels are those that poke fun at other games: we love the levels based on SUPERHOT and Angry Birds. If you’re yet to play this, do so pronto. Tee off as Toadette, who hits the green in the Mario Golf: Super Rush game! Boasting excellent control and cute pink pigtails, Toadette’s excellent at hitting shots with accuracy. Her high control will come in handy on the added New Donk City course—these 18 holes will have you bouncing balls off of buildings and golfing across skyscrapers! The shell-shielded Koopa Troopa and nimble Ninji dash (and glide) across the green in the latest free update to the Mario Golf: Super Rush game. Koopa Troopa can make the ball bounce several times and Ninji can use Glide Dash and float over opponents on the way to the next hole. Chill out on the snowy Blustery Basin course as you navigate mountains and avoid blizzards. Stay sharp on the Spiky Palms course, a desert oasis with plenty of perilous points. Take it easy or give yourself a challenge with the newly added ability to change the CPU skill level! This game is all about speed, precision and decision-making. Compete in tournament mode on random maps with different rules. Score as many points as possible by hitting the ball in the center of the target, be first in a race to hit the ball into the hole before others do, or find the best way to beat everyone in a mini-golf with various obstacles!Typically most sports games are fast-paced and intense, but Infinite Golf 2 is a breath of fresh air. The general premise behind Golf Club: Wasteland is that you’re a solo golfer named Charley who is playing the world’s last game of golf. Earth has been abandoned, with all the rich people moving to Mars, and the 35 unique courses that you play through in this game show off the desolate landscapes and empty buildings left behind. Golf games might not be quite as popular as they used to be. We had a drought for years with no official PGA game. And we had to wait far longer than we’d have liked for a new Mario Golf game. But all that said, there’s still a healthy selection of golf games on Nintendo Switch, and we’ve rounded up the best of them right here. If you’re looking for a hardcore, technical game that requires lots of skill, this isn’t the game for you. However, if you’re hunting for a slightly strange take on a classic game, I’d suggest adding What the Golf to your Switch library immediately. Golf Peaks
