About this deal

I found The Skeleton Key to be a very exciting read with many layers. It started with a bang and only got better. An excellent storyline with excellent well fleshed out characters that you will either love or hate the more you discover about them. Probably the most well known of all reference materials on the subject of book anatomy and book collecting terminology, known by many as THE table of contents or the ‘how-to bible’. It contains a complete A-Z of in-depth descriptions on every aspect of antique and modern book collecting including many descriptive texts on book manufacture and the jargon that goes along with it. A must for any book collector, book enthusiast or anyone interested in bookbinding or book related arts, a fantastic read and one that I always keep next to me when teaching — a timeless classic. From the spine-tingling adventures on a Halloween night to the inquisitive journeys inside the body to explore strong muscles and skeletal structures, the world of children’s books opens up a treasure trove of knowledge and fun. The Ahlbergs' books are nursery bookshelf standards and have been the recipient of worldwide acclaim and awards, including the Kate Greenaway Medal.
