About this deal

Stinging nettle’s anti-inflammatory qualities affect a number of key receptors and enzymes in allergic reactions, preventing hay fever symptoms if taken when they first appear. The leaves of the plant contain histamine, which may seem counterproductive in allergy treatment, but there is history of using histamines to treat severe allergic reactions. Stinging nettle is a potentially stimulant and rubefacient substance, making it effective against various inflammatory conditions . Nettle tea has been used in home remedies in medieval Europe for joint pain, eczema, arthritis, and gout. [18] Growing seedlings: For this technique pre-germinated seeds are sown between mid-/end-February and beginning of April and grown in nurseries. Seedlings are grown in tuffs with 3–5 plants/tuff and a seed density of 1.2–1.6kg/1000 tuffs. Faster germination is achieved by alternating high temperature during daytime (30°C for 8 h) and lower temperature during nighttime (20°C for 16 h). [24] [27] Before transplanting, the seedlings should be fertilized and acclimated to cold temperatures. [24] Transplantation should start around Mid-April with row spacing of 42–50cm (17–20in) and plant spacing within rows of 25–30cm. [26] [27]

Stinging nettle is generally considered to be safe when used as directed. It is important to be careful while handling nettle leaves as they can cause hives or a rash.Common side effects include diarrhea and sweating. Because of its diuretic effect, people with kidney and bladder problems should exercise caution while using the herb. [57] Wright, John (18 May 2011). "Homebrew from the hedgerow: nettle beer". More about nettles

Doctors are still not entirely sure why stinging nettle alleviates some of these symptoms, but many clinical studies infer that it contains chemicals that affect the hormones that cause BPH. When taken, it also directly affects prostate cells. Stinging nettle root extract has also been shown to slow or stop the spread of prostate cancer cells. Chaurasia N., Wichtl M. Sarah Gailey identifies as non-binary, and their mere existence as an enby writer is cause for celebration; representation in the world of literature doesn’t always have to come from fiction and its characters, but rather from the personal successes of non-binary writers. Told through journal entries and letters, the book is a picaresque ride through the perils and joys of finding your place in the world, challenging myths about queerness – particularly transness – as a modern phenomenon, while exploring the practicalities of articulating queer perspectives when you’re struggling for words.

This is a low to short hairy plant which is hardly branched. The leaves are hairy and kidney-shaped, with rounded teeth. The flowers are relatively large and form a few-flowered terminal spikes with a handful of whorls. It is found growing in open areas, gardens, fields and meadows. In a noteworthy study featured in the Journal of the Royal Society of Medicine , the application of stinging nettle to areas afflicted by osteoarthritis demonstrated significant pain reduction compared to a placebo treatment. A study from Germany found that stinging nettle extract was effective in reducing inflammation and pain in people with rheumatoid arthritis. Additionally, a separate study unveiled that individuals grappling with arthritis pain experienced relief by incorporating a natural supplement containing nettle into their regimen, allowing them to reduce their dependency on analgesics and NSAIDs.
