About this deal

To attain a fellow human being’s love, we generally do the things that he or she loves and avoid that which he or she hates. Allah’s love is far greater than the love any human being can manifest; in fact, it is the greatest love that we can attain. 3) Quran verse about Prophet’s love for the believers Verily, the sun and the moon are two signs among the signs of Allah and they do not eclipse because of the death or birth of any person. So when you see them, call upon Allah and pray until the eclipse is clear. In the time of the Prophet, some of the Arabs shunned modesty and forbearance. They believed a person should be haughty and boastful and should take revenge against those who are evil to them. They considered modesty a sign of weakness, but the Prophet informed us that modesty is a sign of true faith. Worship Allah ˹alone˺ and associate none with Him. And be kind to parents, relatives, orphans, the poor, near and distant neighbours, close friends, ˹needy˺ travellers, and those ˹bonds people˺ in your possession. Surely Allah does not like whoever is arrogant, boastful—” (Qur’an 4:36 ) Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: ‘if Allah loves a person, He calls Jibrael saying, ’Allah loves so and so; O Jibrael love him.’ And make an announcement amongst the inhabitants of the heaven: “Allah loves so and so therefore you should love him also, and so all the inhabitants of the heaven would love him, and then he is granted the pleasures of the people on the earth.” [Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

Forbearance and compassion are the qualities of the Prophet Abraham which Allah has praised in the Quran. Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “The best among you (Muslims) are those who learn the Quran and teach it (to others).” [Al-Bukhari]. So instead of seeing tests as a punishment from Allah, this shows that in fact, Allah wants to save us from punishment – i.e. the punishment of the Hereafter which is much worse than any test faced in this Dunya. 3) A test can sometimes replace a worse misfortune Here, love is not merely described as an action but also as one of the Divine Names of Allah s.w.t - Al-Wadud. Other Divine Names mentioned also imply the meaning of love. This tells us that love plays a very significant part, not just in the lives of human beings, but also in the whole of creation. Allah s.w.t. says in the Quran:

It is not for any Prophet to illegally take a part of the booty, and whosoever is deceitful with the booty, he shall bring forth on the Day of Resurrection that which he took.)

Make du’afor Allah’s help, strength, and relief from the test – just as Ya’qub (AS), Maryam (AS) and the Prophet ﷺ all did. When one is able to attain this and he starts recognising beauty, then God Himself reveals the pathways to His Love, for God is the Greatest Benefactor and is the Most Beautiful. For this reason, He declares: Imagine that a certain individual is going through a jungle and is afflicted with an ailment which requires immediate operation. If, in this situation, a doctor suddenly appears riding a horse towards him and treats him causing him to heal, then everyone will realise that this was not merely a doctor, but was God Himself coming to save His servant. We learn that our happiness is coming. That verily after every hardship there is ease. Allah is promising us that we will be satisfied. That after every bout of rain, there is sunshine. This verse reminds us of the love and mercy that exists within our faith, that Allah is close to us. 'And we are closer to him than (his) jugular vein'. [50:16]

Ibn Umar reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, passed by a man from the Ansar who was admonishing his brother about modesty. The Prophet said: Meaning, ‘Haply thou wilt grieve thyself to death because they believe not’. (Surah al-Shu‘ara, Ch.26: V.4)

We are reminded there is light, there is always hope. That the days come and go, and with every sunrise is the new opportunity to do good, to grow, to change. There is hope that things won’t always be the same, so look forward to everything that is yet to come.

Still, there are some who take others as Allah’s equal—they love them as they should love Allah—but the believers love Allah even more. After marriage, partners tend to show sound affection and mercy to one another. This includes forgiving the other and becoming patient in facing challenges ahead. It is as clearly mentioned in the Quran that men can find tranquillity in women who are their soulmates and vice versa. 6) Quran verse about comfort, chastity and protection in a partner The Prophet (S) said: “He who perfumes himself for Allah, most High, will be raised on the Day of Resurrection, smelling more fragrant than sweet musk, whereas he who perfumes himself for other than Allah will be raised on the Day of Resurrection smelling more putrid than a corpse” [ al-Mahajjat al-Baydha, v. 8, p. 105] These are signs which magnetise one towards the court of Allah the Almighty and lift him from the ground towards His throne. Reflecting upon these signs inculcates love for God in man’s heart.” (Ibid., pp. 188-189) 3. Compassion for God’s creation Humility is that you accept the truth from anyone who brings it, even if they are young. Whoever accepts the truth from whoever brings it to him, whether they are young or old, whether he loves them or not, then he is humble. Whoever refuses to accept the truth because he regards himself as too important beside it, or as compared to the person who speaks it to him, then he is arrogantly proud.

English Translation

God Almighty loves those who attempt to be like Him. Thus, you must strive to emulate the attributes of God which the Holy Quran describes. Love comes in many forms. It is part of human nature for a person to develop love for wealth, ambitions, spouse and children, but the highest form of love is to love of Allah s.w.t. Everything that we do in this world should be aligned with the intention to attain Allah’s pleasure. In like manner, man should act in accordance with God’s pleasure. For example, a person should say, whilst giving alms, ‘I do not give these alms so that my standing in society increases, but rather because God has ordained that I give alms.’ The following question was asked, and it comes up quite a lot: “W hat if someone doesn’t seem to be going through any major trials, and in fact, they are being blessed with abundance. Does Allah love such a person less than someone He subjects to obvious harsh trials?” Tests can take many forms, they can be great or small, a one-off trial or something we face consistently. They can come in the form of hardships… or, they can come in the form of blessings. The paragon of virtue and beauty, our beloved Prophet s.a.w. is the key to understand and attain Allah’s love. Through his teachings, we understand Islam. Through his life examples, we achieve Divine Love. He loves us even if we might not meet each other in this world. Allah s.w.t. attested this in the Quran:
