The Criterion Collection confirms that Ridley Scott's Thelma & Louise is getting a 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray release in the UK. Ending Halloween (1080p, 8:26): Exploring the franchise's evolution and reaching the final climactic showdown betweenThis cookie, set by YouTube, registers a unique ID to store data on what videos from YouTube the user has seen. But, the official synopsis for the movie sets the stage for this final showdown with a bit more detail: Jamie Lee Curtis returned to the role that first made her famous for the first time in 16 years with 2018’s Halloween and now gets ready to play Laurie Strode for the last time with Halloween Ends, more than 40 years after she starred in the original. While Laurie Strode is probably Curtis’ most iconic role, she’s also starred in memorable movies like A Fish Called Wanda, True Lies, Freaky Friday and, most recently, Everything Everywhere All at Once. There is good depth and balance on display, superior on the companion and concurrently released UHD, but more than sufficient here. Blood is likewise deep, though again much of David Gordon Green has overseen this new trilogy of Halloween movies, directing all three, including Halloween Ends. Green also wrote the script for all three recent Halloween movies, along with Danny McBride ( The Righteous Gemstones); Chris Bernier and Paul Brad Logan are also credited writers on Halloween Ends.
To make matters worse though, Halloween Ends doesn't cover Michael Myers whatsoever, but rather a guy named Corey, who is babysitting a rotten child he accidentally kills in the first scene. It's clear from here that Corey might take on the mantle of the new Michael Myers label. His run-ins with the townspeople and even his own mother are a horror story where everyone is comically mean and rude to him, bearing no resemblance to the real world. It's with this hate that he wants to inherit Myers's power somehow, but his crush on Laurie's granddaughter has him thinking twice. If there's an old British film or sitcom in your DVD or Blu-ray collection, there is a good chance it was released by Network. Giving long overdue physical releases to [...] somehow recognizes the beast within him. Corey suddenly finds himself a changed man, desiring to deal death much like Michael himself. He finds franchise?
