About this deal

It’s also very quiet, which was particularly noticeable when compared side-by-side to our rattly Shark. When using the Henry Cordless vacuum on soft flooring such as rugs, it's a different kettle of fish. The Henry Quick is the latest in a long line of Henry vacuuming products, which have become household names thanks to their affordable quality and quirky styling.

I have a short pile Ruggable rug in my bedroom and when cleaning this, it's a similar case as the above. After unboxing the vacuum and splaying its parts and accessories out on our sofa, we then recycled the box and all of the packaging in our outside bin.

Mostly focusing on home fragrance and sleep, as well as a few vacuum cleaners, I've tested pretty much every item you can think of that you need in your home. The Henry Quick tackles pretty much all surfaces with ease, but its bulky body made it difficult to get into some nooks and crannies when used as a handheld. It is equipped with a Microtex filter and holds approval from the British Allergy Foundation, providing relief for allergen sufferers. I couldn’t see where the missing 1g went but it certainly didn’t appear to have stayed on the floor, which was largely spotless.

These lights illuminate surfaces and help you to discover dust and dirt that's otherwise easy to miss. For a cheaper alternative without the bag and more accessories included in the box, the Eufy HomeVac S11 Infinity is another effective alternative. In its normal mode with the brush on it lasted longer than the claimed 60 minutes, and over 15 minutes in boost mode. With laminate flooring throughout her home (except her tiled bathroom), Annie mostly used it on Boost Mode when doing a deeper clean. It made it a lot heavier than other stick vacuums and it’s certainly not suitable to be used as a car vacuum, because the size of the cylinder and the weight of the battery do not make it easy to maneuver. Numatic says its bags are made from 65% recycled material and that it’s carbon offsetting their manufacture and use but you can’t get away from the fact that they’re partly plastic and will ultimately end up in landfill.

In all honesty, I didn’t have high hopes for this test because I’d already examined the clearance at the front of the floor head and it didn’t appear to have enough space to let a Cheerio through. The Quick also has fantastic battery life, presumably due to its reduced reliance on raw suction power. Overall, I was really happy with the cleaning performance of this vacuum; it looks good and has a brilliant runtime.Henry Quick's powerful, motorised brush head easily tackles stubborn dust, dirt and pet hair on carpets, hard-floors, stairs and furniture. However, with its awkward clasp fitting, you’ll probably find it easier to locate a step to stand on rather than dig out this accessory each time you want to dust a ceiling-mounted lamp shade or the top of a cupboard. The first things you’ll notice about the Henry Quick is the high-pitched sound that comes from the brush motor.

George offers floor and upholstery cleaning nozzles and hard floor shampooing tools alongside the standard Henry equipment. Also, because the roller itself is a little shorter than the housing unit it may miss some dust along skirting boards.

If you’re quite frail, I can guarantee you’ll struggle to get the brush head off again once it’s been attached. It wasn’t the best at vacuuming up a couple of the leaves that had managed to make their way indoors though — it was almost like the vacuum sucked them up and tried to spit them back out again, only in smaller pieces. These vacuums come with a powerful direct-drive cleaner head that removes ground-in dirt from your carpet for a thorough clean. The pods themselves are made from up to 65% recycled material, and although the makers of the Henry Quick say they’re carbon offsetting all of their pods globally, it was hard not to feel a pang of eco-guilt as the pod disappeared into the wheelie bin.
