About this deal

Megatron waged a battle to destroy the evil forces of the Senate! Then he continued to wage a war against the not-so-evil forces of freedom, organic life, and the very idea of an Autobot living. After some life-changing events, he waged a war against the evil forces of his own past legacy. Currently, however, Megatron's revolution has come full circle, waging a war against the evil forces of the Functionist Council! Both accessories are fantastic. They pay homage to elements of G1 Megatron while fitting in perfectly with this version of the character. Includes Transformers Generations War for Cybertron: Siege Voyager Class WFC-S12 Megatron figure, 2 weapon accessories, and instructions. Megatron figure converts into classic G1 Cybertronian tank mode in 17 steps and comes with 2 weapon accessories That kind of went downhill when the new Autobot leader, Optimus Prime, extinguished the Dark Energon and destroyed Trypticon Space Station, didn't it? War for Cybertron - Autobots/Decepticons

Although battle-damaged paint is one of the distinguishing features of the Siege imprint, it seems that Hasbro's dedication to it is pretty tenuous. The Voyager Class toys are the only ones that seem to receive any significant amount, while Leaders hardly get any and Deluxes range from little to none.

Avengers: Infinity Saga Iron Man Mark V Figure by ThreeZero

D-16 was born during the Age of Wrath. The Quintesson occupation of Cybertron had neutered the ritual of ascending from the Well of All Sparks, to the point where newly born Cybertronians would emerge without names or developed personalities. After a brief but tantalizing glimpse at Cybertron's sun, D-16 was sent to work in the mines underneath Kaon. He took his name from the sector in which he worked, and eventually befriended some of the other nameless workers who had been dealt similar hands by the Quintessons. One Cybertronian in particular served as a sounding board for D-16's earliest sociological musings. From this nameless bot D-16 realized the importance of a proper name. By the time that the Quintessons had been routed from Cybertron, D-16 was already craving more out of life. Elite Mook: This is how the Seekers are treated. Their presence is usually something of an Oh, Crap! moment for the Autobots — probably not helped with them having zero flyers — as opposed to any other Decepticon unit, and being in charge of the Seekers is a very high-ranking position it seems. As has become the standard for his character, Megatron is portrayed as a revolutionary who rebelled against Cybertronian corruption alongside Optimus Prime after ascending from a life in the energon mines and gladiatorial pits. His insistence that his followers were oppressed for how they were born draws parallels to Functionism.

This discussion is interrupted by the arrival of a lone, cloaked figure, seeking an audience with Megatron... On their way off the planet, Optimus mused that one day Megatron might understand that the two of them were much stronger as a united force. Retribution Ask Vector Prime Megatron learned through a recording from Laserbeak that Autobot Leader Zeta Prime had the Omega Key in his possession and had holed up deep within Iacon. Megatron led a full-scale assault on the city, totally devastating Iacon, until he found Zeta Prime at last. After a hard battle, Zeta fell, and Megatron obtained the Omega Key. However, immediately upon taking it, alarms went off, and Iacon itself was shaking. Zeta Prime, despite being mortally wounded, laughed at Megatron's face, saying the Omega Key was only the key to the true key: the city-sized Autobot Omega Supreme. With Ultra Magnus once again acting as his defense orator, Megatron stood trial, Rodimus even falsely testifying that Megatron had been the one to open the duplicate Matrix. As the jury debated between infinite imprisonment and outright execution, Rodimus and Megatron had one last discussion, with Megatron revealing he'd always held onto his Rodimus Star, before Magnus led him away. On their way to the sentencing chamber, Magnus revealed he was going to follow Megatron's advice and destroy the Magnus Armor. When I began to transform my copy of this figure I realized that the right hand did not form properly when this figure came off the assembly line. On my copy of Megatron there is extra plastic on the hinge, so when I try to push Megatron's fist into the forearm it will not go all the way. This does not hamper the transformation overall, but it is a very unfortunate quality control issue.Blind Idiot" Translation: In Earthrise Episode 4, when Soundwave deploys Ravage against Scorponok, the captions say [Ravage barks]. Wrong animal, guys note Ravage's non-tape mode is canonically a jaguar, a species of cat.

The new head sculpt is a bit taller and more smooth in detailing than Siege Megatron's. The "helmet" section especially is much more curved and the brow section above the eyes is much less prominent. Of the two head sculpts I prefer this one as it looks more like the G1 animation head design. Cliffhanger: Earthrise ends with Megatron stealing the Matrix of Leadership but the explosion of the mercenaries' ship cause both the Ark and the Nemesis to crash land on prehistoric Earth. On Cybertron, an attempt to blow up the Decepticons' base goes wrong and results in all the Autobots getting caught in the blast as well. When Earth was properly inducted into the Council of Worlds, Scarlett remembered the devastation Megatron had brought to Earth and wondered whether or not Earth was out of its weight class against Cybertronians as well as if Earth was truly ready to join the Council. First Strike #1 While in jail on Cybertron, Scarlett confessed to Optimus Prime that she had primarily come to Cybertron to save Joe Colton from himself, something which Optimus sympathized with, having gone through similar experiences with Megatron. First Strike #4 When justifying his genocidal campaign to Scarlett, Joe Colton claimed Earth was "one more Megatron" away from complete extinction. First Strike #6When Jazz was interviewed by the human news, he remembered Megatron's invasion of Earth. What It's Really Like Sideswipe also remembered Megatron making a deal with Sunstreaker that preceded the invasion. The Life of Sideswipe Optimus Prime's plan to blow up a bridge to separate the Autobots from Megatron's forces similarly mirrors the events of " And There Shall Come...a Leader!", an early story about the war on Cybertron from the Marvel UK comics. Part of the retooling for this release involves Megatron getting a whole new set of accessories. Here's a rundown:
