When first heated, the product will feel damp though this is quite normal and will stop after a few uses. To keep warm, you can either rest it on or close to your body or use it to heat up the inside of your bed or sleeping bag before entering. If you do not have a microwave it is generally not recommended to heat your heatable product in an oven as temperatures may vary and lead to overheating.Gently heat your wheat pack in the microwave or for cold therapy the pack can be chilled in the freezer for an hour or so to make it a cold pack. Use this product either as a heat pad from the microwave or put it in the freezer to make a cooling ice pack. Should this occur, remove the product from the microwave immediately and place on a cold surface such as a kitchen sink. Heat packs provide a natural drug free solution to pain relief and provide extreme comfort to an injured or aching body. Once you are happy that your microwave wheat bag is safe to use, it is now time to check your microwave.
DO NOT use if wheat bag smells or looks burnt - allow to cool completely on a non-combustible surface such as the kitchen sink then throw away. Wheat bags are designed for use in your microwave, and indeed this is the only recommended way to heat them. All microwaves have different power settings and rather than giving you a set time we prefer you to find a time that works best for you. I tend to start my stitching as close to the end with the filling in as possible and then move the filling within the bag as I need to so I can stitch all the way around.This is an excellent heated body warmer and can be used on almost all body areas and will retain its heat for a good length of time.
