We are pleased to be the publishers of six of Niki's very latest infant nativity plays: Out in the desert, three kings are making their way to Bethlehem. Highly suitable for drama clubs and youth theatres. For a school musical to be deemed successful, inclusivity is vital. We believe in providing as many chances to as many children as possible. Each of our musicals provides over 30 named speaking parts, innumerable ensemble opportunities, and guidance (including suggested names themselves) on how to increase the number of parts for a larger cast. We also include a range of activities for the classroom, helping all pupils to feel enthused about the production and important to the process. School musicals should be the most rewarding of all school adventures, something of which the school and parents can be rightly proud. But the whole process should also be as enjoyable and as stress-free as possible. By creating musicals intended to capture the imagination of the children, we also aim to ease the process for the teachers at the helm. And don’t forget, we are always at the end of the phone should you need further guidance and support.

Fed up by their petty squabbles and confused by the nature of the case, Judge Grumps is far from happy. Seeing this, the narrator offers to take him out of the courtroom to witness the night’s events firsthand. The Stable Stompers’ can’t wait to play their big concert in the stable in Bethlehem. They have been practising hard for weeks and are hoping for a big audience that night. But then some angels arrive talking of a young couple – Mary and Joseph – who are expected shortly, not to mention some local shepherds and three travelling kings. Suddenly, the stable animals have other things on their mind than their concert, especially with the arrival of baby Jesus. A current Annual Performance Licence is required to perform a musical or nativity to an audience (other than to pupils & staff), including an online audience, and irrespective of whether admission charges are made. Niki Davies’ delightful new nativity perfectly captures the spirit of Christmas and will captivate young performers, complete with six fantastic songs and a charming, simple script. KG2 sang their hearts out and performed dances to four of the songs, with costumes ranging from children in pjs to villagers, stars, kings and camels. Reception acted out the story beautifully, showing the progression from Kindergarten as we ask the Reception children to stand on stage in the limelight and say their words. Along the journey, we met Caesar and his group of census-takers, angels, shepherds and kings on a journey to follow the star and arrive at the stable for the birth of the baby Jesus.

This simple but effective nativity was perfect for the age range as it has a simple but humorous script and seven easy to learn songs that have been on loop in Kindergarten since October! Woolly is a sweet and uplifting nativity story which perfectly captures the spirit of Christmas. Its upbeat songs will keep the children and audience captivated throughout. Year 2 took the leading roles in this fun-filled take on the traditional Nativity story about a very talented animal band whose concert preparations and performance are interrupted by the arrival of Baby Jesus. Year 2 were expertly supported by the children from Year 1, who all got the chance to show off their dance moves and angelic voices. The Nativity managed to shoehorn in a number of 70s disco classics! Mrs Hooper, along with an all-girl cast of Reception children, helped to narrate the story of the first Christmas. To bring the story to life further, Mary and Joseph were led to Bethlehem by a real-life donkey (well, actually a pony, but dressed up as a donkey!) This made the Nativity even more magical. All of those with speaking roles spoke clearly and confidently, impressing their teachers and the audience of parents and grandparents. Not only did the whole cast perfect their lines, dance moves and songs, they also managed to sign along to many of the songs, making this nativity truly inclusive!
